Great intro to Ethiopian dining

Never tried before and really wanted to for a long time. Tried the lamb dish. I tend not to enjoy meat so didn't care for it much. Too chewy. But the veggie dishes were outstanding! First timers get a complimentary taste of something else. And also try the traditional coffee. No cream or sugar... read more

This is one of my favorite places to bring friends and family for a special meal. We have been both for the lunch buffet and dinner and both are great. We always have friendly service and the food is amazing. Lots of rich spices. My favorite is the Doro Wot and the Kitfo (rare). Lamb tibs are great too. You... More

As you enter the front door you are immediately met with friendly helpful staff. More good news - you eat with your hands. No utensils. Injero is a flat bread used to scoop up the food. Not like pita it is more akin to a crepe. We started with a green lentil purée called Azifa. It contains garlic, jalepeno, horseradish... More

my family enjoyed a most delicious feast: lamb, lentils wot and chicken wot. Oh my, what a treat. The only thing that could make this better is to have some local craft beers to cool the spices and further blend the flavors. We highly recommend it.

Clearly a family affair which is delightful. Very pleasant people. The food is generally quite good. I had always wanted to try the Injeera and now I know it is not for me. It's just a tad too sour for my taste. The meat dishes are delicious. The sambusa appetizers on the other hand were most delicious. Go there for the... More

My wife and I made the trip to Austin for the weekend and have been wanting to try this place for a while. Wish we hadn't waited so long! The food is absolutely wonderful and filling. We barely finished off the vegetarian sampler for 2 and were completely full (but still split a piece of baklava). No need for snacks... More

I have never had Ethiopian food in my life but wanted a unique and tasty experience. Far surpassed any expectations that I had. The food is amazing can't really compare it to anything because it is unique. The service TOP NOTCH the wait staff is on their game no matter how busy they seemed along with how willing and enthusiastic... More

This restaurant provided my first experience with Ethiopian food, and what a great experience it was! I decided to get the buffet since I could sample several different items. All of the food on the buffet was fresh and flavorful. It was the first time that I liked every dish on the buffet. The wait person was friendly and welcoming.... More

This restaurant and it's staff are all absolutely adorable! Simple yet tasteful ambiance, traditional music is in the background and just loud enough to hear it and still be able to hold a conversation with friends. The owners are very hands on, and LOVE to interact with their guests! They want you to have a true experience of Ethiopian food.... More

Its very close to my house. So i decided to give it a try. Turned out super good. It was bad like i thought. The ladies working there was very nice and polite. Injara was better than the other Ethiopian restaurant that i went. It'll taste better with your hand. No spoon. Will come back soon.
