Family owned restaurant with great food and service. Much better than I expected and will definitely be going back. If you don't know what to order, we didn't, just ask. The waitress was very helpful in helping us decide on what to order. And the owner, herself came by to talk to us. A really great experience. Hard to find... More

I worked with an Ethiopian woman who said other than her kitchen, the best and most authentic Ethiopian food was at Taste of Ethiopia in Pflugerville. Sadly, I live in San Antonio which means that under the best of circumstances we'd be driving an hour and a half. That said, I was so excited to realize that I was going... More

An unexpected find in Pflugerville, Texas. We were pleasantly surprised by this international find in Texas barbeque country. We went for the lunch buffet and tried everything on the table. Nothing disappointed! The fried cauliflower was perfection, eggplant dish was sublime, and the post lunch coffee was presented in an authentic Ethiopian fashion. We're looking forward to our second visit!

I love going to Taste of Ethiopia, it has officially become my family's go to Ethiopian restaurant when we aren't cooking ethiopian food at home, Ms. Woenie and her family as well as staff are always inviting and caring, great service as well as great food!

Every time my family and I come to visit relatives in Austin, TX, we stop at this restaurant to eat. They have a great-priced lunch buffet. The dinner menu is great. The different items you order are placed on a rolled out piece of injera for your table to share. You also get your individual servings of that light bubbly... More

I saw the great Yelp reviews and decided to stop by and try the veggies. We had a nice appetizer, some Ethiopian wine and shared the combo plate. Treat yourself to a unique experience.

The owner is a delight! Beer and wine available and traditional music plays in the background. I will definitely recommend this place to friends!!

We started with a cottage cheese and collards with Mitmita spice. Served with toast instead of the expected injera. Not on the online menu and I neglected to write down the name. But it should not be missed. Not something I've found elsewhere. The lentils in berbere were milder than I'm used to. Good, but not smoking. The injera was... More

I had not had ethiopian in years so I jumped on this opportunity when my aunt and uncle suggested this restaurant. We had the lunch buffet. It was great food. Only one meat option on the buffet so hardcore carnivore's may want to order off the menu. Someone in our party asked for the gluten-free bread and I had some... More

Our family has made this restaurant a regular. It's a bit of a drive from Austin, but definitely worth it. The food is wonderful. It is a little exotic, but if you get up your courage and order, the spices are wonderful, the meat is tender and the vegetarian items are savory and filling. Despite the fact that the food... More
