Giovanni's would be a "strong" restaurant anywhere, and is probably Palestine's best and most dependable restaurant when it comes to taking someone out for a leisurely meal. They have no liquor license but are happy for you to "brown bag" beer, wine, or cocktails, and handle the setups nicely. The Italian menu is overall fairly broad and everything prepared fresh... more
We really enjoyed stopping at this old-fashioned Italian place as we passed through Palestine, Texas. We try to find local, non-chain spots and this one was a great find. The pasta tasted homemade and was properly cooked al dente. Lots of locals inside. more
