Great historic restaurant!

This restaurant is located in old town orange by the court house. Food is great and service is good. It is always packed when it is opened. I just wish it was open at night. Only opens at night for theater performances and special occasions. Love going here.

I hadn't been here in a dozen or so years, but if anything it's gotten better. They are only open for brunch/lunch (10 - 2 most days) but it's a must stop. For my money, this is some of the best food in Orange. The wait staff is friendly and helpful (without being overwhelming). The photos of old Orange are... More

As usual, place was packed for lunch. Never fear things move right along. Enjoyed a great sandwich w/old friend. Salmon salad. Delicious. Never had one & it was great. Buddy recommended salmon salad sand instead of giant fresh fruit plate. Another friend said the Rueben is her very favorite from the broad menu. Choices are many & varied. Chef David... More

We went to Sunday lunch here and it was fabulous! The daily special: artichoke quiche, salad, and cream of mushroom soup were amazing! My Mr. got a burger-which was huge-and more than satisfying. This place is southern home cooked food at it's best!

Like the title says surprisingly good for Orange Texas. Came in here to kill an hour after reading other reviews on trip advisor. I had the catch of the day. It was cooked exceptionally well with a great sauce on top of the fish. The house salad with the house dressing was also an exceptional. Will be back again. Very... More

This is the best restaurant in Orange. The worst part is the hours, only open for lunch during the week and brunch on Sundays. The Portabella Chicken dinner it's my go-to, and never disappoints. One important note: NEVER NEVER NEVER under any circumstances should you leave there without trying the bread pudding! Enjoy!

Yesterday was my third time dining for lunch at the cafe in 8 months and so far it hasn't disappointed. I'm "that person" who likes to dine with family and friends and try this and that from their plates. I rarely order a hamburger but my uncle had the portabella and swiss and it was divine! The garlic cream sauce... More

Limited hours, but if you are free for lunch, don't bypass this place. I have been here for every type of meal, from business to pleasure to organization meetings, and service is always excellent. Don't miss the shrimp and grits, or the grilled shrimp salad with white balsamic vinaigrette. Actually, I have never had anything that wasn't superb. Oh, and... More

Old Orange Cafe is exceptionally tasty and creative in their menu choices. We have dined there many times - for Sunday Brunch, weekday lunch and before-theater evening dining. We have never been disappointed by the food, the service or the prices.
