We have been coming here for years! The steaks are some of the best in Texas! I love their steak cooked over mesquite wood, yum!! They serve you a large block of cheese to slice off what you want to eat while waiting for your meal, another yum!!! The veggies are pretty good and the pies are great!! Must have... More

We just went back & guess what??? You only get 1 side now.....a salad is extra because supposedly the owner didn't want to go up on steak prices again. I've never been impressed with their lettuce salad anyway but it's ridiculous to just keep cutting back when your making millions more. The boom will not always be here!!! The regulars... More

Thought I was caught in a 1970's time warp! Atmosphere hasn't been updated in at least 25 years. It's a steak house so let's start with the steak. 14oz KC Strip- not bad, cooked properly but needed a little seasoning. Side dish: had the seasoned veggies and they were terrible. Was nothing but yellow squash that had been cooked into... More

Went for a birthday celebration. Ambience is somewhat lacking but table conversation goes a long way to remedy the obvious. Wonderful cheese block that becomes addictive while you wait for your steak. Filet is the best you will find in Odessa unless you are your own grill master. Wine and beer are good options.

The first clue that something may be wrong is entering the establishment. All staff are college kids interested in the money only. Customer service is hollow at best. Recently a waiter explained that meat is better with LESS marble. Since when? Marble is needed for proper cooking of the meat. When served a Filet Mignon it was "butterflied". How did... More

The steaks are always delicious, but my favorite part is the brick of cheese with fresh, warm bread to begin my meal. The deserts are very good and have a great appearance. The green salad is as basic as you can get.

Great food, reasonably priced. Kids loved it! Great service, nice atmosphere, entertainment for kids (when we were there on a Friday there was a magician) will be going again!

My husband and I treat ourselves to a once-a-month meal at The Barn Door and we love it. The steaks are always delicious, but my favorite part is the brick of cheese with fresh, warm bread to begin my meal. The green salad is as basic as you can get, not much to write about, but my baked potato is... More

Good thing the Oil booms here. They were soooo slow before. They have definitely taken advantage of that. Prices have went up 2-3 times and they even charge for water. Last time we were very DISAPOINTED. The prime ribs were tough!!! Ughhhh. Probably won't go back for a looooong time.

Sorry you had a bad experience. We hope you'll give us another try! Yes, we charge for water as it is a precious resource we feel responsible for conserving as much as possible. By charging for it, we are able to serve it to people who will really drink it rather than leave it on the table as well as... More

My husband and I were visiting Odessa, Texas and were told about this steakhouse. We ordered the sirloin for two $39 with two sides each. It was 24 oz. of very tender, cooked perfectly steak. My side was a crisp green salad and baked potato. My husband ordered the green beans which came out of a can and the mac... More
