Very good bakery

During our recent trip to New Braunfels we walked here from our airbnb two mornings in a row. We tried a variety of breakfast pastries and sat outside at wrought iron tables where little birds begged for crumbs. I enjoyed the kolaches and nut rolls.

what a wonderful bakery for sweet treats. We can vouch for the bear claw, maple pecan rolls and the cream puff chocolate pastries, but are just as sure that no matter what, you'll like it. Touted as the oldest bakery in Texas, go and you will understand why. We enjoyed the quaint shop style and the friendly counter girls.

We don't usually pass by bakeries, so the oldest one in Texas seemed like a place we had to go. We just picked up a few desserts, but they were really good. The service was great - the women working were very friendly and polite. The prices were really reasonable.

Fresh baked, lots of fruit choices, delicious. Went twice, and was happy with items each time. Crust was flaky, fruit was sweet and juicy.

Been coming here for 48 years. I personally love the kollaches, apricot coffee cakes, ginger cookies, cherry strudel---- YUM can I just say, I am drooling --I tried the flour tortillas last year for the first time. They were really fresh and thick, just the way we like them.

...but I love it when someone else does. Hubbie and I were in town for a golf tournament and stopped here for a sweet to go with coffee, and some cookies for the grand daughter. We got about two of every cookie. The soft, fresh gingerbread men were my favorite!

Naeglins Bakery in New Braunfels is a traditional stop for most visitors, tourists, and locals. You can go on just about any day and just about any time of day and expect to have to wait in a line. The majority of the things people order are the pastries, bear claws, kolaches, etc. We stopped doing that long ago, not... More

Love this place. Open since 1868 and making recipes from way back then. Streudel, cookies, cakes, cupcakes galore. My two favs are the German Pretzel (a sweet treat) and gingerbread. They make here happy face cookies my kid love and also special order items. They made my daughters birthday cake. Few years ago and it was delicious. Oh and you... More
