Very disappointed in Naegelin's after so much hype. Pastry tasted old. In my opinion it was overpriced. They were open on Sunday which has changed...so not sure if what I ordered was left over from Saturday. Overall not what I expected.

Have been visiting this Bakery for years. Great homemade breads and cookies. The iced molasses are my favorite. When my son was stationed in Kuwait he requested these cookies from home for Christmas. My granddaughter loves the strawberry muffins!

I've been eating Naeglin's pastries since my family started visiting New Braunfels in the early 80's and now it's my daughter's favorite as well! Kolaches, pastries, cookies, donuts, bread. Order anything it's all great, and the ladies behind the counter are the nicest anywhere! Stop for a minute and eat on the tables outside the restaurant which is just off... More

Oldest bakery inTexas and one of the best too. My favorite things are the mini sausage bites and the sandtart cookies. They also make fresh tortillas. You will want one of everything! We went for breakfast and then returned after floating the Comal to get some desserts.

I remember being taken to this bakery when I was a little girl and it's a tradition that has been in our family for generations. Was thrilled to see it still there with the old menu favorites still available and with some delightful new additions. Definitely worth a quick trip by. They do have a drive thru as well for... More

We stopped in on out way to Schlitterbahn and the line was literally out the door! We patiently waited our turn to make it to the counter. With so many choices it was hard to decide. So I went with some fruit filled kolaches and molasses cookies. Kolaches were great there but the ones I took home didn't taste as... More

We were staying at Canyon Lake and friends said we had to try this bakery. It is the oldest bakery in Texas. We arrived at the bakery about 3:30 PM and the counter was still filled with delicious baked goods - which was a good thing as people kept coming through the door the entire time we were there. We... Naegelin's is one of the best traditional bakeries in Texas, especially in favoring the German pastries. They have a great selection of cookies, muffins, cakes, sweet and savory rolls, breads, and on and on and on. When your in New Braunfels, it is a must stop.

Billed as the "oldest bakery in Texas" -- says so on the sign, this is certainly one of the best bakeries in Texas. We bought a bag of pastries that weighed about 5 pounds, which magically transported themselves to our waistlines. Worth every bit of it: cookies, kolaches, fruit strudels, danishes. You name it. No line when we arrived about... More
