Great selection of pastries. Suggest ordering and taking out. Disappointed that there was no seating and plan on standing in line.

I am not sure what's going on over there... It maybe the oldest in Texas..but it is not the best... Dry dry dry. And who really cares if it is the oldest... Its not the original owners. I am pretty sure its not even in the family anymore.. But something is just missing there... Not trying to knock them...just not... More

This bakery has delicious apple and cherry strudels, and I love their cream puffs. Some of their cookies and other pastries are pretty good, too. Don't buy a pie from them though! My daughter recently picked up two of their pies for a family gathering. The peach pie was sour, runny, and made from canned peaches. The coconut cream pie... More

Favorite place to grab some pastry items before heading to the river. Bratwurst kolaches, super spicy jalapeño sausage kolaches, eclaires, cream puffs and do not miss their famous peach strudel.

We like to find unique local restaurants and this bakery is a treasure. It's over 140 years old and is a large old-style bakery. They have a wide variety of breads, strudels, breakfast pastries, gingerbread men, donuts, cookies, and cakes. The prices are reasonable. We tried 6 or 8 things and everything was outstanding. It's very easy to find, has... More

Naegelin's has the distinction of being the oldest continually operating bakery in Texas, and their delicious pastries ensure that it will continue to operate for generations to come. The apple streudel is delicious, but my current favorite is the petit fours. Larger than usual and prettily decorated, their petit fours are always fresh, light, and moist, with a firm icing.... Reliable food. Can't say the same for the service. Beautiful restaurant, great location. Management was responsive and remedied the situation to our satisfaction.

We got cinnamon rolls & kolaches--- both were hard, overdone (rolls were burned on bottom) & seemed to be at least 3 days old. We went around 7 on a Saturday morning. We were there 3 years ago & everything was fresh & delicious so I don't know what the issue is with the poor products. We didn't have time... More
