Strudel galore

You can buy strudel by the slice, half or the whole. My favorite item though is the gingerbread cookies - they have many choices of cookies to choose from as well as pastries, cakes, and pies.

This is a must stop bakery! We grab breakfast there every time we're in town. Can't go wrong with anything you choose, and the sugar cookies are delish!

We have to go to Naegelin's every summer when we are in New Braunfels. Super nice employees. They make so many different pastries it is always hard to chose, but make sure you get their strudel, especially the cherry. Just a really neat place to visit.

Sorry guys, but Ranger cookies DO NOT have raisins . . . ever! And the part of the cookies we did eat tasted old and stale; including my daughter's peanut butter cookies. "Oldest bakery in Texas" might actually mean "oldest cookies on the shelf". The staff was timely and friendly though. No place to sit and we sat outside and... More

Enjoyed our pastries a lot. Would definitely go back next time on vacation!! Try the cinnamon rolls with icing and nuts on top. Those are fantastic. :)

Naegelin's bakery has been in New Braunfels since the last 1800's. The bakery goods are very good. It is worth the effort to visit and buy their apple strudel. They have many other pastries that are really delicious. Their breads are very good. I have gotten pies and cakes their also and they are really good.

Stopped in yesterday for a last minute cake. I forgot to order something for my husbands birthday! They had many to choose from. Picked up his favorite, Red Velvet. It did not disappoint! Also bought some pettit fours. They were tasty as well. Large selection of breads, cookies, donuts, pig in a blankets, and koloaches. A great place! Will be... More

My wife and I have made it a tradition to make sure we stop by Naegelin's Bakery right before we head back to the DFW area on our yearly trip down to New Braunfels. Everything we have tried from this bakery is amazing. The meat kolaches, fruit kolaches, fresh made doughnuts, desserts, everything is great! Be prepared to wait in... More

Always busy because the food is so good. Friendly staff and a number of rolls, brads, cakes, kolaches and sweets. Great place to stop by when in the area.

We stop in here every time we get to town! This is the oldest bakery in Texas and it's easy to see (and taste) why. I always get two gingerbread men - one for right away and one for later. And the sweet pretzels, and the cinnamon rolls, and of course a dozen iced cookies for the grandkids! Whatever you... More
