The aroma drove us in plus the history of the place but the food kept us there. Wonderful old place and we loved our choice of iced molasses cookies. We will be back any time we are in the area!

We went to Naegelin's Bakery as a side trip after eating at a local German Restaraunt. I must admit that this wasn't our first time here. We try to come whenever we are in the area. They have wonderful cookies, pies, strudel, pretzels, and bread. My favorite are the iced ginger cookies. We also ordered a chocolate cream pie. My... More

If you're in New Braunfels, you have to stop at Naegelin's for their fresh breads and cakes! They are in the middle of downtown New Braunfels, right off the square. I highly recommend!

Lots of delicious pastries to choose from, including beautiful German cookies. A rack of day old items for the hungry and thrifty; basic brewed coffee and soft drinks for the thirsty; small outdoor seating area right near the NB town square.

We are new to the area and decided to purchase an apple streusel and some cherry turnovers for visiting family at Christmas. We called and ordered in advance, pickup was easy and everyone enjoyed the strudel and turnovers for both brunch and after dinner again! The strudel was flavorful, moist and delicious. The turnovers were large with a flakey crust.... More

We stopped here after our lunch and wanted to take some to-go. It was your typical bakery. I wasn't impressed with much but I absolutely loved the cream puff with powdered sugar on top 7 the white cake with orange swirl on top. They were so moist & heavenly & I don't normally like sweets. We bought an assortment of... More

Go for the cream horns and ambiance. Most of the items are either too sweet or too full of preservatives. But the cream horns? Heaven.

This historical bakery is nice to visit but I wouldn't want to eat there. Don't get me wrong, the offerings of pastry and sweets are digestible, just not that great. The pastry was bland and pricey but, if you want to experience a little bit of tradition, go. It was kind of fun to look around.
