Great Bakery

Always busy because the food is so good. Friendly staff and a number of rolls, brads, cakes, kolaches and sweets. Great place to stop by when in the area.

Stopped in yesterday for a last minute cake. I forgot to order something for my husbands birthday! They had many to choose from. Picked up his favorite, Red Velvet. It did not disappoint! Also bought some pettit fours. They were tasty as well. Large selection of breads, cookies, donuts, pig in a blankets, and koloaches. A great place! Will be... More

My wife and I have made it a tradition to make sure we stop by Naegelin's Bakery right before we head back to the DFW area on our yearly trip down to New Braunfels. Everything we have tried from this bakery is amazing. The meat kolaches, fruit kolaches, fresh made doughnuts, desserts, everything is great! Be prepared to wait in... More

We stop in here every time we get to town! This is the oldest bakery in Texas and it's easy to see (and taste) why. I always get two gingerbread men - one for right away and one for later. And the sweet pretzels, and the cinnamon rolls, and of course a dozen iced cookies for the grandkids! Whatever you... More

One of the oldest bakeries in Texas specializing in good old fashioned German baked goods. Located right off the circle on Seguin St. You can expect fast, friendly service and tasty treats from this establishment.

The oldest bakery in Texas may have been really good at one time but now it's pretty mediocre. The apple strudel is good- but that's about it. Bland and dried out.

Our B&B (Comal Inn) had goodies from Naegelin's in our room. Great treats! Just like they came out of grandma's oven!

Stopped there for a coffee recently. Was in the shop ages as couldn't decide what to choose from the huge selection of cakes etc. Very busy bakery but plenty of staff serving customers. Sat outside with our cakes and coffee and watched the world go by for a while - heaven........

After visiting Henne Hardware Company, the oldest continuously operated hardware store in Texas it was time to try some strudel at Naegelin's, the oldest continuously operating bakery in Texas. The real hit was the adorable gingerbread boys and mugs. Would love to duplicate the dark cake like texture of their recipe with simple white line decoration- they're nothing like the... More
