We were visiting friends in Texas and they brought us here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I must admit I was surprised that it was relatively empty for lunchtime on a Saturday. We all enjoyed our meals. My husband had the Roulade which he really liked. His only complaint was that they only gave him one roulade. He thought... More

It is difficult to comprehend how in the world this place has not ran out of business yet? This place is pretty talented on hiring the worst staff you can imagine. Customers are treated as prisoners. They made us wait for 1,5 hours and then after we complained about it they brought us intentionally spoiled food! This place is simply... More

We ate at the Friesenhaus on Friday night, and although it was not a 5 star dining experience it was decent. We both had a schnitzel entre, I had the Jägerschnitzel and it was very good and the wife had the Holzfäller-Schnitzel and said hers was just ok. They had German potato salad, but only the cold version. Was really... More

I ate here with a friend recently and the food was good. We both had schnitzel. It was not the best schnitzel I have had, but it was not the worst either. However, I am bothered by the fact that the tablecloths were not changed between customers. We had a stained one when we sat down and we noticed that... More

We thought "German food...German town" so we found this place on tripadvisor. I have never had a worse dining experience in my entire life. The place was empty I should have known. The waiter was too distracted to suggest any items from the menu so we went with sausages, beets, potato hash. Beets were from a can, sausages were inedible... More

I used to love this place! But it's very notorious they changed chef, nevertheless the baker is the same and cakes are still amazing! Try the Cherry Tart (Hollandaise Kirch) or the honey & almond cake!

Ate here mostly because all of the other German restaurants are closed Monday nights, and I wish I stayed in my hotel room and ordered pizza instead. Our waitress was not friendly, had virtually zero knowledge about the menu, and even forgot to bring our beer until well after we had our food. The food was served to us cold.... More

We went to Friesenhaus for lunch on a hot day in July. This was the first German food we have ever had. Looking at authentic German food on the Internet l would say that this food was spot on and delicious. Large portions, hot and fresh and the wait staff practically doted on us The ambiance was casually upscale. Live... More
