Previous visits to the Huisache have been memorable so my expectations on a recent visit were high. It turned out to be a very disappointing meal. What I remembered as great service was run-of- the-mill and hurried. What I remembered as very special food turned out to be a cut below most chain restaurant fare. My meal was the "Hot... More

Just finished a fews hours ago and wanted to get my thoughts down quickly. Honestly not sure why this place rates so high on tripadvisor, The restarurant is not that great in our experience and perhaps the local patrons have very low standards for service and food quality. Service was lacking with to many issues to mention, food was cold,... More

This place was recommended by one of the shop owners in Villita and it was well worth the drive. The wine list was extensive (and delicious), the food was phenomenal, and the service was top notch. Definitely well not miss a trip here on future travel to San Antonio.

The food and service were very good. Even though we ordered light in anticipation of a heavy dinner later that day, we were treated with the same attention as a big spender. There's a seating area outside that looks like it would be nice on a sunny day.

We ate dinner here for two consecutive nights just to explore the menu--the food was that good. Everything was delicious: home made artisian bread, perfect salads with a beautiful balance of greens, great vegetables, and something on the menu to please everyone. The Chicken Yucatan and the Mixed Grill are my recommendations. This restaurant takes no reservations, but you can... More

We've eaten here twice in the past two years (driving from Austin to the coast). The food is exceptional, the service is perfect, and the prices are very reasonable. The duck was some of the best that I've ever had. Two small complaints (though neither warrant taking away a star): 1) the dining room can get incredibly loud and 2)... More

I was in New Braunfels walking around and checking out an antique store near the square. If you dont pay attention you will easily miss out. Its presence could easily be overlooked as it is not advertised on a flashy sign or a big billboard. The exterior was not impressive but having read the good reviews we pressed on. To... More

It was kind of hard to locate at first. But once we found it, it was well worth it. The food was all good. We love especially the Asian Salmon salad. It was juicy and not dry and the mix of mango with the special sauce made it perfect!

I went with my husband recently for lunch. Even during the weekday, this place stays busy. Food prices are reasonable considering the items have a gourmet flare. We first shared the shrimp and green onion crab cakes served with a roumalade sauce. They were lightly sauteed and the sauce was nice and tangy. He had a burger and ate it... More
