Good, authentic food

Always good food - wish they were open for dinner more often! VERY varied menu, with a little bit of everything for any appetite!

We visit here every year (third generation) on our way out of town and have always had a wonderful experience enjoying both breakfast and lunch/dinner at any time the place is open. Today's experience was unfortunately not a great one, but the manager made a most graceful save out of an embarrassing situation by not charging us for any of... More

I used to go to this Tex-Mex place years ago when I lived around the corner and it was always a solid bet, you knew you'd get a good value, served quickly, even if nothing really made it stand above the crowd of similar mom and pop tex-mex options in town - los gallos, palm cafe, marinas,Herberts, Cancun, tapatio., by... We have been here for lunch and dinner but breakfast is my favorite. I am a Plain Jane so my go to taco is the potato and egg. Their tortillas are light and fluffy and so good. I also love their Barbacoa. It isn't crazy greasy. Try make super burritos my kids like and hubs prefers the Migas plate. They... More

Love El Nopalito for a spicy Tex-Mex or traditional eggs-and-bacon American breakfast. They have a fantastic menu, friendly service, good coffee and all of that is at a reasonable price.

They have awesome breakfast tacos and chips and queso. Perfect mother's day brunch without a huge crowd.

Also: come hungry. We stopped here after my brother raved about the breakfast tacos - I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was very good, very (very) filling, and at a great price. Loved the local, greasy-spoon type feel to the place.

I went here with seven others on a late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant's exterior isn't flashy like the chain restaurants and the interior doesn't have much going for it either. I hate flourescent lighting! But there was Mexican music playing! Love it. We were seated quickly and had placed our drinks order within minutes. They don't have a liquor license... More

One of several small mexican places we divide our eating out among in New Braunfels. Subtle differences between each. Very good food, good service, good prices.
