Two of us had lunch here. We have been here many times as it is convenient and fairly quick. It is certainly not the best BBQ have had, not in the top 10, This day we had sandwiches, cheese, chips and a drink each. I had the turkey sandwich. It was a little dry and only a little smoky BBQ... More

We are huge Rudy’s bar-b-q fans. We always eat at Rudy’s every time we visit New Braunfels and are NEVER disappointed. And we always carry out a couple bottles of the original bar-b-q sauce. Love Rudys.

We have tried a number of the Rudy's locations and find it always good. The cream corn is great. They are consistent and always a pleasing experience. We have tried a lot of Texas bar-b-que spots and find Cooper's and Rudy's to be always wonderful. So, if you see a Rudy's Bar-B-Q, you will not be disappointed - always good.

Good food - novel service - paper and all disposable - flavoursome food - easy to find too and lots of parking - very popular and so you will have to queue

This place makes pretty good BBQ and "fixing" to accompany the meal. The brisket is available wet (fatty) and dry (lean) and the sausage is available in a number of taste varieties. The turkey breast and chicken are tasty and smoked nicely. Two sauces are available, the regular (spicy, but really good) and sissie sauce (same taste without the spice).... More

It was a Sunday evening, after having visited the Natural Bridge Caverns in New Braunfels. We discovered many restaurants in this part of Texas are either closed or close quite early on Sundays. We called Rudy's Country Store and BBQ to check whether or not they were open. A friendly voice said, "Sure. We're open till 10:00 p.m. Come on.... More

We had the brisket and turkey and the Turkey was excellent! The brisket was OK, but we were all fighting over the turkey, so next time we will just stick with turkey.

We ordered about a half pound each of turkey, chopped beef and sausage to make sandwiches to take in the river. All very good. We used both the regular and "sissy" sauces, which were both good, too. Great service and packaged well to go.

I have been avoiding this place since I got a brisket sandwich here several years ago that was almost inedible, It was tough and mostly fat which is not what I wanted. Because of the many good reviews on this site plus our son's love of Rudy's we thought it was time to give it another try. I purchased a... More

I had never been to Rudy's before. My friends convinced me to consider it. I'm glad that we did. Our portions were getting smaller as we were getting fuller and less inclined to spend $20+ for a few chunks of dried out meat. Got a slice each of wet and dry brisket and a pork rib. The dry brisket was... More
