I saw the billboard for Oma's Haus and since I had not eaten lunch yet i stopped in at about 4:30 in the afternoon. As it was between lunch and dinner the restaurant was empty. I was seated and waited on right away. I ordered the Nierst Schnitzl which was new to me, but it was very good. I ordered... More

Saw some mixed reviews on here so I decided to try it for myself. Glad I did because I loved it. Staff was attentive and food was perfect. I had no complaints. If you are looking for something upscale then this isn't for you. This is a perfect example of mom and pop german food.the schnitzels were awesome and potato... More

Good food, cold beer, great music. What else is there? Everything is outside so dress accordantly. Some of the best Texas music AND ITS FREE!

If you're looking for a true German Rest., OMA's House is it!! 5 stars - even down to the decor and outfits worn by the staff. Probably one of the Best Reubens I've had.

After eating at Oma's House, I can't undertand how the place remains open. The decor is horrible - everything just looks years, no, make that decades, past the end of its serviceable life. We had the Reuben sandwich which was not bad, but the side dish of German potato salad was sweet and far from authentic. Our waitress was good,... More

We tried the Gereman egg rolls, which were good. The spicy mustard totally overpowered them, though. We wanted to try some German dishes, but they all seemed to contain tons of cheese. My friend and I split a burger, which was delicious. The pork schnitzel served to another diner may have been authentic, but didn't agree with her later in... More

On our 7th year wedding anniversary we found this restaurant to be nice. Food was delicious. Though there was a bit of a wait, we were o.k. with that, they had a very large group precede us. An appetizer was giving for understanding. Things were just pleasant.

I used to love stopping here and getting a little German music, great German food, and listening to German being spoken. Now there is pop music played and no cucumber salad. Lunch might be ok but would skip the evening meal.

Was here years ago to try it and it was expensive then and now for what you get. The décor is really dated and needs a fresh coat of paint. Does not seem the owners spend any money on the upkeep. The food was just okay nothing to outstanding. One nice thing is that you can purchase meat and bakery... More

The schnitzel is absolutely a must to try! The wait staff was super sweet and we had a great time talking with our waitress, however the building is dated, as noted by the slanted bathroom floors and lowered unevened ceiling, but it goes well with the old german theme so not a huge turnaway. At the front of the restraunt... More
