Casual atmosphere, barely chilled Shiners, fair

Went on a chilly night. They had one little fire going, not enough to warm anyone. Band playing on back patio was mediocre, no one dancing. Older crowd. Left after an hour and joined gruen hall.

Very bland, all carbs. I have Chicken Fried Chicken w green beans which were over cooked frozen green beans. Pan fried potatoes, I do better at home. Potatoe pancake? Really? No flavor. I did want to TRY it since it was so close, but had a hard time choosing what to try and was disappointed.

We came to this restaurant despite its rating because the one we originally selected was closed. It was quiet and only a few people were in there, so the service was quick. We ordered Jaeger Schnitzel, potatoes and red cabbage and it was so much food we were glad we had decided to split one plate. All of the food... More

The Hubs and I stayed at the Hampton Inn next door. Despite mixed reviews on TA, we decided to give it a try for dinner. We walked into the front door and were in what seemed to be a small shop with mustards, steins, and a variety of touristy toys and other items that were not in the least German.... More

We stumbled across Oma's Haus on a quiet Tuesday night late December. The food is good and the beer is cold. However, the premises give the impression Oma's Haus has been better times. Additionally, the man who greeted us at the front desk had a permanent sad look on his face and his customer service skills could best be described... More

Quaint, walking distance to hotels, nice staff. Food was just okay. But I'm not that into German food.

Charming building, outstanding apple strudel, and our meals were well priced and delicious. We had wienerschnitzel, potato pancake with applesauce, and blackened tilapia. The wide array of German beers was impressive (mostly $3.60 a bottle, but I splurged on the $7, 16oz bottle of one of the wheat beers, Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier, and was not disappointed!). We also tried a... More

The menu stated they had been in business for 34 years. It's time to put the old horse out to pasture. They just exist now, waiting for the end to come. They no longer put any effort into the food or the service.
