Good family place

We came here wet after tubing the Comal. It's walking distance from the tube places. We had a good lunch and the waitstaff was nice. It was homey and southern. They have normal stuff, like sandwiches and breakfast items. I'd come back again next time.

I like the small town train station feel... 20 minute wait was worth it for us as the food was real good and the wait staff and owner are friendly and accommodating. Food was tasty, not greasy, like a lot of other breakfast restaurants. I also liked the original train decorations. I really enjoyed my omelette.

This diner was recommended by locals for breakfast. We ordered migas and a refried beans/seasoned beef/cheddar omelet (1 of 55 omelets on the menu). There was a bit of a wait to get a table after arriving at 10am on a Saturday but it was worth it. Food was excellent and the service was friendly.

Small but the food was great next time I will have to try one of their omelettes, but there are so many different kinds to pick from,

This is one of those "only the locals know" kind of places that most tourists bypass - nothing fancy and sparkly - just outstanding food and some of the best service you could ask for. Remember how IHOP's pancakes used to fill you up (until they went to smaller portions)? Well, these folks still serve 'em large - yet the... More

I had read some of the reviews for this restaurant on Trip Advisor before I decided to try it. Some of the reviews weren't very good but I take them with a grain of salt and like to judge for myself. The place is very small, I counted 14 tables pretty well packed in 2 small rooms. The service was... More

Don't let the size scare you away. The depot design is so clever! But what makes you want to go back is the food and the service! There are 12 tables in this little spot and they had 3 servers, a cashier who handled the drive up window and phone, who knows how many people in the kitchen! Our food... More

This place is just good old fashioned home cooking! The omelettes are AMAZING! And the price is even better. There aren't too many places left in this world that you can get a great and filling meal for less than $7, this is one of those places. My wife and I grabbed breakfast from here while a family member was... More

Went here because some of the group wanted breakfast, some wanted lunch. Both were available, and very tasty. I had a reuben sandwich that was quite good, while my wife enjoyed a late breakfast.

I don't remember how many varieties of omelettes they served, but the whole front cover of the menu is dedicated to the ever-growing number. If you are an omelet person, this is your morning MUST stop. I came with my grand daughter early in the morning on April 17, while her grandpa golfed. We shared eggs and pancakes and sausage...
