We stopped at Freddy's because we couldn't find the Dairy Queen in New Braunfels, and after the first bite of her vanilla frozen custard my wife said, "Wow, this is almost Dairy Queen!" We are long-time DQ patrons and we are known to drive out of our way for DQ. And I won't go so far as to say that... More

We've eaten here numerous times and the burgers and fries are always the same. They have a unique extremely thin patty and shoestring fries. Fast and friendly staff.

We are huge Steak N Shake fans, and when we heard Freddy's had steakburgers, we had to try them. They were great, very close to SNS. Fries were also very good, really thin like we like them. We went through drive thru, which took a long time, but it was right after the Schlitterbahn closed, so I'm thinking that could've... More

This is a good family restaurant much like Steak n Shake in take and selection. Good deserts also, different from S&S. I recommend this for your evening sweet tooth.

Seems like we never go to New Braunfels without including a stop at Freddy's and we come from Dallas where are now plenty of In & Out Burgers. I personally think the In & out Burger is better than Freddy's but when you don't have one of those around then Freddy's might be a good back up choice. Hamburgers are... More

We stopped by Freddy's on a Tuesday night 20 minutes prior to closing. The manager welcomed us in with no qualms. We ordered 3 burgers and a patty melt with fries and drinks. Hubby did not care for the thin patties on the burgers, preferring thick and beefy, but the grandkids scarfed them down. My patty melt was one of... More

We have eaten here the last 3 trips and it is very good. The burger has a good flavor and the frozen custard was great also. It is also reasonably priced. Give it a try. If you like that type of food you'll love it.

If you visit Freddys you must try their chocolate shake. We went through their drive thru and service was reasonable but the food was great. Freshly made steak burgers and their fantastic shoestring fries with their special fries sauce..love it!

Went here to eat after floating the comal river. Burger and fries were good. The whole family enjoyed the place. We also had shakes the were very good. Asked the manager if they would sing happy birthday to my niece and the said sure no problem. They came out of the kitchen and surprised her with a dessert. Will definitely... More

We've lived in New Braunfels for a few years & had never eaten at Freddy's so one day, we decided to try it as we're looking for a new place to try. The service is excellent, the food is good, the burgers are different from day to day depending on who's cooking. I've had a really great burger one day... More
