We're so sorry to hear that you left us disappointed, Donald. We've been serving BBQ to the Texas Hill Country for 50+ years, so you can bet that we always put our customers first. Our brisket is a crowd favorite so your comments raise a red flag. Did you happen to let our staff know that it was too fatty?... More

I’ve dined here twice recently and have been very impressed. Being form the northeast, I’m familiar with a certain type of barbecue, and this is completely different. It’s texas pit bbq, which is slow smoked in a pit. They have about 15 types of meat to order, which you can pick and choose which piece you want, then they have... More

I gave this 4 stars because I'm not a big fan of the seating style which are long picnic tables. The BBQ however, is excellent and so are the sides and desserts. I took a business associate to Cooper's who is from NJ and had never been eating establishment like this. He found it humorous. You don't get plates but... More

"Definitely Texas style" is right! Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback. We may not be fancy, but what we lack in flash, we make up for in juicy, smoky BBQ! If you have any specific feedback for us about the picnic tables, we're all ears. Hope to see you back here very soon! Take care, Mark, General... More

I had the special of brisket and sausage with potato salad. It was the best bbq I've had in a long time. The brisket almost melted in your mouth! The all-you-can-eat beans were very good too! The kids raved about their pork ribs and macaroni and cheese. All had a full and happy belly!! :)

WOW. Great BBQ! Walk in the door and the aroma of meat cooking hits you like a brick! Your first stop is the pit, where you'll find sausage, rib-eyes, chicken, brisket, RIBS!, turkey, pork chops and a lot more waiting for you. You choose your selections right off the pit, and they serve you exactly what you want. Then you... More

This is legit bbq. Although we are in Texas, great brisket is hard to find. Cooper's has some of the best brisket i've had. Its a bit pricey, but well worth it. The sausage is also great, but the pork ribs were not as good as the rest. pinto beans are included with your meal. Potatoe salad is awesome and... More

You're right, Scott. Even in Texas, delicious BBQ can be hard to find. So it's music to our ears that you think ours is truly "legit." Thanks for this shout out! Next time you venture out from San Antonio to get your BBQ fix, our door's always open. Thanks man, Mark, General Manager More

Visiting Austin area and told friends I wanted TX BBQ (I use to live in Houston). They brought us here. Plus -- you get to see the meat and choose it. Then they put it on a tray and weigh it. Negative -- the sauce. Runny and vinegary. Not typical TX BBQ. Didn't like it. Also the sausage was dry.... More
