Isn't this up for auction on the courthouse steps? I think they closed in November 2013 unable to continue. The hotel is definitely closed, thus if the restaurant lives, my sincerest apologies, but it does seem impossible.

McKinney's at the Hotel Fredonia was always one of our favorite restaurants!! Unfortunately the Hotel has gone out of business so the restaurant is closed. There is a rumor in town that the hotel may open soon under new owners .... if so we hope that the new owners make the restaurant a success.

We tried the Fredonia for brunch last weekend (11/10/13) because we are looking for a place to have Thanksgiving dinner with our daughter who attends SFA. The lobby and common areas of this old hotel are well-maintained and the decor is beautiful. The restaurant is roomy and the brunch buffet is a good value considering the variety of food that... We eat here occasionally throughout the year. It is always nice to sit down with friends and have a nice meal without going to a chain restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the food always good.

The food was okay but not what I expected for the price. Since we stayed at the hotel we ate there twice, once for dinner and the other for breakfast. The service was slow both times even when my husband and I were the only ones sitting in the restaurant at the time.

My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. It was a pretty average meal. The food was not nearly as good as I would have hoped for the price. Our server spent most of the time standing at the hostess stand with the hostess talking (pretty loudly for how quiet the restaurant was that evening.) The servers who brought... More

We ate several meals at this restaurant last weekend. Every one of them was excellent. The food is so good and presented well, too. I would go back to this place anytime!

This is not haute cuisine. But it is tasty, inexpensive, and in a setting that evokes the late 50s/early 60s lifestyle. I had the lunch buffet, which has relatively limited selections, but which is worthwhile overall. I would say I definitely got my money's worth.
