Drove to Muenster today for lunch only to find The Center Restaurant closed and for sale. Went down to Rohmer's instead.

We drove from DFW for a day in Munster and to have German food we read your reviews and decided we would go to center Restaurant. It is closed with a "for sale" sign out front.. you might wanna pass this along.

Excellent Schnitzel and the Wurst is fantastic. German potato salad is one of the best I've had since I left Germany. The kraut was delicious. Great place for lunch.

My family doesn't completely agree with me on this restaurant as they don't really like the smell of kraut and this place does have a strong smell of it. I love kraut, I love the sausage, I love the salad bar, and I love the desserts. You need to try this place out.

We visited Saturday, May 4th, for lunch. We arrived right at opening and were one of the first ones in the door. By the time we left, there were people waiting for seating. This is a popular joint for locals and visitors. The building and atmosphere is nice enough. The beer was cold. The waitress was being overworked and was... More

This was the first stop on a honeymoon roadtrip, made around early dinner time. A sign directed us to seat ourselves. The place was pleasantly busy and the wait wasn't long. I ordered the German Sausage Sampler and it was very good. I tried my husband's German potato salad and the kraut and both were tastey. His Schnitzel sandwhich (he... More

we made a day trip to Muenster over the Christmas holidays for German food and to shop at Fischer's market. Read about the Center and other places in Texas Highways. We are of German background and have eaten at numerous places in central Texas, and this food is no where close to German food. No one greeted you as you... More

The German food is always fresh, hot, and very filling. This is our favorite German restaurant. We live about an hour away but find it worthwhile to make the drive every time. As good as the main dishes are, the salad bar is just as much reason to go. Very few restaurants still have a good salad bar. This establishment... More

Well, the Pagel's Sausage plate which is an old family recipe of very tasty Pork Sausage links and Sauerkraut, with German Potato salad is the best in Town. The other plates like Jeager Schnitzel is good also. But I think some of the regualr meals are more average, but they have great German Food.
