Always wonderful

They have such wonderful value in their meals....as well as flavor! Go there for dinner and they start you off with bread and homemade soup. I wish, just once, I could make soup as good as theirs. Then comes the salad, fresh as can be. Then the main course. I love their steaks.....oh what... read more

We stopped here for lunch before our visit to the Shiner Brewery and had a very good homemade lunch. Go early to beat the rush. The philly cheese sandwich was very good although the bread was a bit bland, and the German picnic boneless stew was a great hit, with fresh veggies and home-made peach cobbler. All in all, a... It will cost you $40.00 after you have 20 miles off the Interstate from Houston to San Antonio. I have eaten here half a dozen times and it is the best steak in America. To get the same piece of meat in Dallas or Houston will, cost you $200.00. Loved the people & the story on the Steak and why... More

I took four friends to this restaurant and the food was good. They have lunch specials or you can order off the regular menu. Good service as well.

The food was good. The SMELL of the restaurant was a TURN OFF. This first thing I smelled was URINE, yes urine I assume from the carpet. It is old but with the humidity it is obvious that it is time to take out the carpet, paint and redo floors. Something to cut the smell. I don't think shampooing the... More

Who would belief a first class steakhouse would be located in a town of 886 people? This old western hotel has served as the Kloesel's restaurant for over 40-years through support from the surrounding small communities. I ordered a 16-oz end-cut prime rib that came aged and cooked to perfection. It was the best restaurant prime rib I have ever... More

We took our daughter and son-in-law for his birthday for dinner, and we were not disappointed. The soup, as usual, was excellent; salad, perfect; prime rib, steak, chicken with mushrooms/provolone so delicious! My husband ordered the Philly steak sandwich and said it had good flavor, but the roll should have been crusty and he had more than one piece of... More

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here while we were staying at a B&B in Gonzales. Gonzales is about 25 minutes away from Moulton and is a nice drive. My husband had the prime rib and it was excellent. I had the chicken fried steak (kid's portion) and it was very good. Try the haricot verts (tender green beans). This... More
