This food is pretty consistent. Nothing special and a little on the pricey side. Really liked the new pay at the pump set up. Cool! Great idea.

Stopped in and there was a wait which normally indicates it's a decent place to eat. Not in this case. The hostess was more interested in flirting with another employee than helping guests. I ordered to go from the bar because there was no place to sit. The bar staff are friendly and seem to enjoy interacting with their customers.... More

The restuarant recently opened and it did not disappoint. Went there for lunch during the work week. Despite saying there was a 20 minute wait, and several people were waiting for a table, we were seated before 20 minutes. The staff was friendly and attentive. The are several items on the menu to try and was very tastey. Will definately... More

The food at this restaurant was very good. Restaurant was busy the night we were there and we sat at the bar which proved to be great. Staff was very helpful and kept our drinks full. Will definately go back.

The menu is much closer to New Mexican than the typical Texas Tex-Mex. Flavors are good yet not overpowering. I highly recommend the stacked enchiladas they are well flavored with not too much cheese or too much chili. Waiting to get in however may take a bit as it is a very popular location, especially at dinner. I would highly... More

Wonderful atmosphere, but that is all. Service was bad and I got sick. Ordered a hamburger (never order hamburgers at a Mexican restaurant), as soon as I took a bite, I knew it was bad and I got sick that night. The waiter took it back, but nobody came to apologize or excused themselves for the bad food, never saw... More

The new Abuelo's has wonderful ambiance and a great addition of a patio area. And like the old location, the food is consistently good. I had the enchiladas de Cozumel, which is really more of a crepe than an enchilada. It is a crepe filled with guacamole, covered with a creamy wine sauce and topped with shrimp and scallops. It... Abuelo's has a new location, 2908 N Loop 250 W, just down the road from the old one. I love the new building. It looks smaller but seems to be more efficient and much cleaner! The outdoor patio area is open seating and only serves appetizers and drinks. They had a live band and we enjoyed sitting out there while... More

I love the food here. I have tried several items off the menu and everything is good. It does take a while to be seated but that is everywhere you go in the permian area. Margaritas are good as well.
