Best catfish ever!

Their catfish is the best I've ever had in my life. I have to say that I hardly ever eat there because when I eat fish, I like to enjoy to full meal deal. There sides are are average but I can't take the coleslaw. I have yet to find anyone that cares for it. I feel like I'm only... read more

Great food in Midland. We usually order the fried catfish, fried shrimp and hush puppies. Although seating is available inside, I recommend calling ahead and planning to do carry out--especially with kids as there isn't much room to sit.

You can't beat the fillets of catfish at this joint. Biggest I have ever seen. Combo comes with coleslaw, fries or onion rings and your fillet. Always busy at lunch. There is also takeout.

The catfish was good after the long wait. Which was a surprise since there wasn't that many people there. The people working there seemed to be put out if you asked for anything. They were rude and made you feel like you weren't invited. Would I recommend this place? Sure if you want a decent piece of fish served with... More

Went to Eddie's Catfish for lunch. Got there about 1 pm and the place was empty on a Wednesday. Both of us ordered shrimp and catfish. I was severely disappointed. The reviews I read had spoke very highly of this place. My food seemed to be overcooked and in dirty grease. French fries were the best thing I received but... More

We do not reside in Midland but were passing through. On a Saturday afternoon we were looking for somewhere to eat. We decided on Eddie's after several others were closed. I do love good catfish! Well, we arrived and no one else was in the small dining area. We could not help but notice that we were treated very coldly.... More

My catfish dinner arrived at the counter in a brown lunch bag after a 20-min wait. I'll have to say it was with the wait, I just don't know if that's typical since I've only been once. HUGE piece of catfish. No way did I need to order the two piece meal. I just gorged on the delicious fish and... More

Hands down, Eddie's serves the best fried catfish I have ever had. The prices are low and the portions are large. Lunch hour is crazy so you may want to call and order ahead. It is owned by wonderful people who endeavor to better their neighborhood and who deserve the support of fellow Midlanders.

This place is the warm, satisfying goodness they mean when they say, down home cooking. The menu is short and they do it well. It is also a fun place to go because of the people who patronize it. Midland is a friendly place and this shows it. Reading the reviews I was prepared for a questionable neighborhood, but honestly... More
