Odd entrance leads you to what looks like the back door to the litchen. Its actually the starting point of a march through the serving line to the cashier. Generous portions. Smoked Meats offered were brisket, spare ribs, sausages (jalapeno, hot links, and smoked sausage), pork chops and maybe chicken & turkey (i was overloaded with choices and didn't notice).... More

I was not impressed. I had heard good things before trying KDs. The person working the meat area encouraged everyone to get way more than a normal portion. I chose 3 different meats to try, none of which was cooked well. They were dry, and lacked flavor. (Neither of which have I come to expect from a BBQ restaurant.) I... More

This was our first trip here, and it didn't disappoint. The brisket was excellent! One drawback that cost the place a star was the high cost. We paid $8.50 for the meat, no sharing of plates and all the add-ons, baked potato, corn, coleslaw and potato salad were extra. Beans, onions, pickles, bread were included in the cost of the... More

Loved the atmosphere. Friendly staff, excellent BBQ. The beans with homemade salsa are my favorite. Ive got to indulge when Im in town. Its the perfect amount of heat. The brisket is so good. I really liked the jalapeno smoked sausage. Im telling ya, the beans and salsa, are amazing! The owners are great, friendly and genuine.

I'm a big fan of the Rudy's restaurant chain and this is the kind of place that Rudy's is based on. Meat that's sliced to order and served on butcher paper. You pay extra for side dishes (although the beans and "fixin's" are free). This is an old building and the floors are uneven, so you might want to be... More

Loved the low key atmosphere and ambiance. The "cook" slices exactly what you want out of the large grill, and then off to the next station where it get's weighed for payment. I spend over $30 for myself as I had "big eyes" and wanted to try almost everything. Brisket was spectacular, and everything else was excellent. Everyone I interacted... More

The food was not bad, but it wasn't anything it rave or crave. Price is way too high for average food.

A fun experience if you have never been to a Pit BBQ restraint before. Fun place with lots of yummy meat to choose from! I highly recommend the chopped brisket and peach cobbler with Blue Bell ice cream.

I have eaten at KD's several times. The bbq is typical West Tx bbq with nothing really standing out. My "beef" with this place is that it is packed during the lunch hour and you end up standing outside in a line that moves along ok. You eat off cafeteria tray and wax paper on picnic tables set up in... More
