Good food, slightly overpriced, lacking in ambience

I'm not a big fan of fish and seafood because I've had too many bad experiences. However, I enjoyed everything I ate at Rias Bajas. The food was fresh and well prepared. My only criticism of the food is that there was a little too much oil used in what was sold as "grilled" food. As someone who... read more

I eat here every time I visit the island and have reviewed it in the past. I always look forward to my visits here. It is excellent.

This place was an average seafood restaurant. We went there on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist. The restaurant itself seemed a little outdated in terms of decor, it looked like it had last been decorated in the 1990s. There was insufficient air conditioning with everybody shining with sweat. Quite cheekily they charge you for bread and butter (the first... More

Everything fantastic! Fresh sea shells - prepared just like I wanted it! And the seafood soup was delicious! Definitely will be back!

This is a good place to visit for a tasty lunch on a hot day as the restaurant is lovely and cool. We had crab to start with (a challenge to dissect, but worth it!), followed by sole, with a beautiful wine sauce. By tourist standards it's quite expensive (though cheap for what you get, if back in Britain). Well-recommended... More

I would say this is more classy than a lot of the restaurants in the area and this is reflected in the prices which are higher than most of the others in the area, having said that though the meal was outstanding the staff very professional the atmosphere and ambiance is that of a classy establishment, We had a wonderful... Lovely professional service, all were very attentive and couldn't do enough to please us. Compared to the trash that is around, this is a five star gem. Highly recommend the grilled prawns or the mussels. Unlike previous comments, we believe it was very reasonably priced - where else could you get 2 fresh fish main courses, 2 puddings and wine... we had a warm welcome in this Restaurant, but we we're disappointed about the fish plate for two persons. it'svdefinetly not worth the price and overall a bit overprized too.

This is really a great place considering the enormous amount of trashy touristy dinner locations in Maspalomas. The service (especially the very professional manager) is great, excellent. The restaurant is decorated in a pastel/beach/sea style with comfortable seats, fresh flowers and feels romantic and luxurious. Great fresh fish food. Only problem is that the chef uses way too much salt,... More

This is a fairly large restaurant, but the service was always prompt without being too attentive. Staff were all friendly and helpful The restaurant specialises in fish, which our party of four ate on two nights, so we can not comment on the rest of the menu, but all our fish were perfectly prepared, lovely and fresh.
