Menus only in German! I speak German fluently but such a lack of respect ! We are in Spain ! Unfriendly service ! Apparently very popular as a gay after beach destination ... God knows why. A fetish to be treated bad in German ?

Went here after a recommendation. Never shall I return. Busy place with lots of people from the beach stopping here. A selection of huge cakes on offer. But the service is awful. Really slow and surly. If this place is busy in the afternoons then the management need to sort out the staffing. You need more staff to give a... More

Interesting place to visit after the beach, especially in the winter months. It can be hard to get a table arround 5pm. Good Selection of cakes and coffee. Nothing special but prices are reasonable and it's very entertaining watching the international gaggle of men delicately stuffing themselves . Cita is not exactly Westfield (to put it mildly) but once in... More

My first time to cafe Wien and it won't be my last for sure. It's one of those unpretentious places with a mixed crowd that you end up recognising people in from the beach and bars etc. It's a bit of a warren to find it in the cita centre but worth it. It gets super busy around 2/3pm so... More

Having always looked forward to tea and cake when I go on holiday to Gran Canaria every year i I I was looking forward to going again. What a total let down. We arrived just before 17.00. Took a table, went to look at the cakes and they had nothing left. The waiter was very rude, said if we wanted... More

When here after a day on the beech. The cake was very average and very overpriced. Nobody speaks everyone just sits there looking pretty and camp. not for me

What a disappointment. This used to be THE place to go after the beach but not any more. The staff (especially the young guy) seem only interested in meeting friends and not really providing the quality of service they used to. One couple sat at a table waited 10 mins, and were refused service by the young guy (who was... More

Like other reviewers I've been coming to Gran Canaria for many years and a stop off after the beach was always Cafe Wien...well not any more. The service was off-hand and in particular from the German waiter was non-existent, he was more interested in talking to his friends than serving. The cakes which make this place an institution ran out... More

I've been coming here for over 15 years whenever I holiday in Gran Canaria which is most years. The place hasn't changed except the selection and availability of the cakes in the afternoon has deteriorated. This latest visit, in the middle of a very busy pride week, saw the gateaux run out at 3:30 and all cake gone by 4:05pm.... More
