Pleasant and neat

San Augustin is a Swedish haunt in Gran Canaria, and not only do most tourists come from Sweden, but a number of restaurant staff as well. We were welcomed and served by a tall blonde lady who didn't look a bit like a Greek - in fact she was a Swede. The place is very tidy, spacious and sparkling... read more

Newly renovated...it's a great semi-casual place with very good food and atmosphere. There is in & out door dinning. Service is excellent.

Good food, that is certainly true, but having to pay double as much for the same quality as I can get inside of the commercial center is a bit off, must be that I’m paying for the salaries of all the international (European) waiters and waitresses. Good but expensive compared to what’s on offer elsewhere.

We were so lucky to live just be this lovely place while on a holiday. After reading about it from the hotel reviews we decided to pay a visit. And so far we have been there twice. Both for dinner and lunch. Nice and friendly staff and really flavorful and good Greek food. I am sure we will be there... More

Our first night in San Agustin and we ran the gauntlet of the restaurant arcade from one end to the other looking at all the menus. Greek Taverna was the last we came to and I was too tired to walk back again,. so, although this was not cheap we stayed and had a first-class meal. Throughout the week we... More

We have been dining at Greek Taverna for many years and have always enjoyed our meals. On our recent visit we were pleased to see that the entire restaurant has been enlarged and much improved. Unusually the décor and seating varies in different sections of the restaurant with some al fresco. So you choose the environment that suits your mood... More

After being dissappointed in June when they were closed for refurbishments, we finally had dinner here last night. Service was prompt but not overly so, waiter had a few laughs we us as we couldn't decide in which language we wanted our menus. Starters of Dolmadakia & Tzakiki came out in good time and were delicious. Main courses arrived after... More
