A great variety of seafood and a great location

At the end of the beautifull promenade in the old port you´ll find this nicely situated restaurant at the seashore. You can eat here all sorts of fresh fish for a reasonable price. The outdoor seating is great although in de beginning of march it can be a bit chilly. Service is good. We both had... read more

We visited La Laja twice during our recent visit to Morro, basically to give it a chance on the second occasion. The food is as good as ever, as is the ambience. Service was however unreliable and slow on both occasions - overcooked rare steak and Coke instead of diet Coke, for example. I'm not sure why the service was... More

We found this restaurant during a Sunday walk along the beach, it’s location is great, we were looking for something traditional that served fish and this delivers on all levels, the food is wonderful coupled with great service, if you are in the area you must visit

Ate here last night. The setting is incredible. The Calamari and Serrano Ham starters were very very good. I tend to eat Calamari where every I can and this was some of the best I've had anywhere. I had fish of the day which again was very good. My partner had the Fillet Steak with Garlic which was tough and... More

The setting is nice, a terraced area overlooking the beach, the food was good - I would say the portions were far too big but this is a better thing than being too small of course! The staff were polite. I would happily eat here again but it wouldn't be my first or second choice.

I can't rave about this place. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you order moules marinieres you'd expect the classic white wine, cream and garlic version, wouldn't you? The sauce was made with peppers - lots of them - enough to set your mouth on fire. The waitress couldn't have cared less when I mentioned it.

This genuine fish and seafood restaurant is really worth a visit. Next to the Atlantic ocean with seats both indoors and outdoors you can always find a suitable table. The waiter was very welcoming and the service was perfect all through the dinner. A warm roll was served with a tasty dip together with the wine. We ordered sole meuniere... More

We visited the restaurant on a very busy Sunday lunchtime. It was packed both inside and outside and we had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table. The restaurant was busy, and a buzz with conversation giving it a great atmosphere. The service was efficient, friendly and attentive particularly as the staff were so busy. There was an excellent... Loved the position, looking up along the gorgeous beach and views over the sea. Good seating outside and inside. Vast selection of fresh fish, good portions and authentic feel.
