Well worth a visit

small restaurant/bar in a small square on the edge of do the town in gerona recommended by reception staff at the hotel cuidat. Speaking to the owner Frank we explain that we were vegetarian and he provided a lovely meal with some good wine and and nice open air environment. Would recommend

It looks like a tourist trap, but it is actually a good restaurant. The seafood is excellent and cheap. I ate a broiled octopus and a mixed grill of seafood (2 different kinds of fishes, squids, prawns), I found it absolutely delicious and I spent only 29 €.

Ate here with my wife and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Good food, good prices and friendly service.

Intending on the night to seek out a different restaurant as we did most nights , we were sucked in by the lady at the door . But once you were seated the 'bouncer' like waiter was a different atmosphere. Thankfully we opted to go main and dessert as the main was a major let down. One of us had... More

High level of service combined with top quality food. Little details such as cloth serviettes, lemon water to wash fingers, soup poured from the bowl etc. is what makes you feel you're indeed in the restaraunt and not the tourist cafe. Seafood was fresh and delicious, spot-on seasoning. It's pricier than nearby places, but it's clear why. I'd recommend this... More

After reading excellent online reviews about the Kahlua I chose it to celebrate my husband's birthday. We're quite happy to sit with a drink whilst awaiting our meal and enjoy a leisurely experience but we waited 'an age' just to get our drinks served. The cod dish which I had was very tough and very little was provided to accompany... More

Just returned from a short break to Salou and came across the Gran Cafe Kahlua advertising Mojitos at 5 euros and were worth every euro - the best Mojitos in town. Nice bar , good service and decent background music. Cany=t comment on the food as did not eat there but would go back just for the Mojitos !

We found this place by wandering off the main strip. The lady out front was welcoming and spoke several different languages which was very helpful. Food was of a high quality but price was reasonable. They have a tank that you can pick your own lobster from so you new it was fresh. We went back for a second night... More

We enjoyed a very nice lunch at this restaurant, the quantity and price are just perfect!! There is no sea view but the food is very good! € 15 for a nice lunch menu with lot´s of choice from meat to rice dishes or fish. The lady in front of the restaurant is very friendly and welcoming, the service was... More

We stop here tonight looking for an evening meal. We went for the set meal, 3 course with at least 20 different things for each course and the price includes a drink. There was 3 of us in the group and we all had different things for starter, main and desert, everyone was first class. It was not just the... More
