We picked this restaurant from Tripadvisor and it met all our expectations. The seafood was excellent, with the antipasti comprising 4 prawn treats chosen by the waiter, followed by a whole fresh fish with gorgeous vegetables on the side. Overall an excellent meal that was cheaper than we expected for a 1st class meal. Complements to chef Paola.

Arrived without a reservation and they squeezed us in -- and the 4 of us were glad they did! Extremely warm welcome in this family resto and they sure know how to cook -- particularly fish which was brilliant. Many suggestions on starters and main courses to choose from to make sure we had the freshest and best. Excellent local... More

During my 10-day stay in Sardinia I've been to this restaurant twice and would definitely come back when I am in Sardinia next time!!! This restaurant is one of the best my dining experience in North Sardinia. This place is the combination of original receipts based on extremely fresh seafood, home-made pasta cooked in Italian traditions and famous italian hospitality...it's... More

It very well could be. Don't let the unassuming location fool you, you are about to eat food that is as tasty, balanced and perfectly prepared as any you have had. Step in, sit down let the owner Sandro give you a meal to write home about. Enjoy!

Food good, but not special. We did not think it warranted the relatively high prices, or the #2 rating. Decor and lighting rather stark and utilitarian. Service pretty good, but it was almost empty when we ate there.

This was a completely surprise find, in no way driven by Tripadvisor, and I'm very pleased to see the place score so well on here. I also find it hard to comprehend the rather vicious review from Sarah H K below, so much that I wonder if she actually ate in the same place I did? Certainly none of the... More

We sought out this Restaurant as it seemed to have such high ratings on TA. It was something of a disappointment. It is in a very uncongenial place, opposite a petrol station and on the road leading down to the ferry and sitting outside was not at all pleasant. The service was slow. The food was by no means as... More

This restaurant is a major let down. It represents seriously bad value. Three of us (one of our party was a teenager) paid 135 euro for a lunch not including alcohol, desserts, teas and coffees. We were charged 9 euro for the privilege of walking through the door. In terms of the food, my son’s ‘Caprese Con Bufala’ was a... More

Excellent little restaurant in every way. Looks nothing special from the outside but don't be put off. The owner is very friendly and clearly knows his trade. We went there twice and had fabuluous meals, mainly fish and seafood.

We spent a week in Palau in early October, and as we were staying in a self-catering apartment and on a bit of a budget we decided to treat ourselves to one slap-up dinner out. We did our research and C'era una Volta seemed to come up top in the reviews. So we arrived at around 7.30pm and were ushered... More
