The staff worked like hell. Had no time to be friendly. Food arrived below bodywarm. Carbonara was their own version. Bacon and a lot of raw yellow from egg. Pizza thick, fat and completely tasteless. Housewine was a mix of very, very cheap wine and water. Bread of lowest thinkable quality. We went away as hungry as we came. Zio... More

We were looking for a place to get dinner a bit early and Zio Nicola was one of the first restaurants to open in the evening. There were just a few customers at the time so we got the waiter's full attention and excellent service. My grilled fish was possibly the best I've ever had in a restaurant and we... More

We got here by accident and could have chosen as different restaurant (why didn't we, FGS). Nobody welcomed us. All waiters (especially the two hostesses in black) never smiled during our stay. Our food came quickly but the lasagne was not warm enough an portion too small. "Uncle Zio" sits at the back of the restaurant and 'manages' his sad... More

Looked nice from the outside, friendly staff, quite busy, so we went for it. However the one of our party's dish (lasagne) was really late then cold and inedible, the bread was really stale, and when we brought this to the waiter's/owner's attention they just did not care. I guess they get so much passing trade they just aren't bothered.... More

We ate here twice on our holiday - the owner was such a great host and made us feel really welcome. The whole staff were great, and it had a really lovely family atmosphere. There was an accordion player who would busk during dinner which, although it was a little corny (he played the theme of the godfather) it made... More

Zio Nicola is located at the left corner of Palau harbour looking from the sea. We have had some interesting meals in the past but none quite match this one. As two married couples we were looking forward to a nice meal after renting a boat and a great day round the Islands off Palau. We were met buy the... More

as we were quite starving we unfortunately jumped into first restaurant on our way to the "center of palau", which looked quite promising and hoped that the sleazy waiter who was probably the owner too would bring us some amazing sardinian food.. how wrong we were!!! we ordered buffallo mozzarella as a starter and i can put my head on... We came here Off season for lunch. Differently from what advertised at the entrance, we found No pizzas nor focaccia. Bruschette were average while the pasta was ok. Would not recommend.
