The Time Has Stood Still

Entering the Gasthof Hasen you step back in the 19th century. The interieur seems to have been unchanged, though in a positive sense. The urgency of our time can be left behind the outer door. Service is friendly and attentive. The meals hold high quality and taste. Recommend wramly their soups

So many different bread rolls and everything was fresh...food from the buffet but drinks were table service. the waitresses were really nice and I loved the strong coffee. Other than that a pretty traditionally German looking place.

28 of us arrived to a warm welcome and was given a small menu, but a good choice. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. As it was dark and had only just flown into Stuggart straight onto a coach to Hotel all I can say is the scenery what we saw in the semi dark was lovely... More

The restaurant is located in the modern hotel but they kept the old facade of the Gasthof. Free parking in their garage, excellent food.

When we visit Herrenberg (2 or 3 times a year) we stay at the Hasen (Rabbit) and eat in their Restaurant once or twice every trip. They have an extensive menu that, in the main, is of German or Swiss heritage (same as the owners!). Everything is well prepared and tastes delicious as well as being served promptly and efficiently... More

This is my second visit. The atmosphere is quiet and perfect for a business lunch. The spinach vegetarian dish is my favorite choice. I had the beef filet on this visit. The sauce that accompanied the steak was delicious, however, the steak had a flavor that is different from the USA beef that I am more familiar with. It was not... More

I haven't been in the hotel but only in the restaurant because of the comments I've read on the site. Actually, the food is good, I mean ok but the price is high regarding what we have in the plate, even the drinks are expensive... I travel quite a lot thanks to my job, and I have already experimented better... More

Stayed at the hotel so ate here many times. The breakfast was really good. Staff were really good always put fresh coffee on the table as soon as you sat down. I had many dishes on the menu since I was in town for 3 weeks. Every meal was always really good. Very fresh and tasty. Each meal was also... More

There is a lovely restaurant,as well as a great patio for summer dining. The menu includes traditional and updated German fare. I had a large entre salad one time, and another time I had an entrecote steak on a bed of potatoes. It was great. The mango sorbet is made in their kitchen. The kitchen is run by a professionally... If you want local "cuisine" look no further, Traditional German cooking at its best portions are large even for my standards. Quality of food is very good the only teeny weeny downfall they have is the staff could put on a smile while working. End of the day we are THEIR customers and should be attended to with respect. Other... More
