Moreover, it doesn't take much to create more of an experience for the guests, without slipping into clichés or excesses.

We chose the 52 euro menu and found the food well cooked with an interesting range of flavours, especially the starters. The service was good without being overbearing. This was a more expensive meal than we would normally choose but it was a memorable meal.

We had been in the Serac many times before it received "star status", and were never disappointed. This year we found out about the Michelin Star and expected even more. We chose the Serac Menu at €52 each and were not disappointed. A trio of starters looked very intresting and delicious, until one of us found a little worm crawling... More

The dinner was more formal and fancy than we are used to having. The food was creative and beautifully prepared and the service was attentive. We enjoyed it, even if it was out of our comfort zone. Note that it was quite a bit more expensive than other dining options in town.

We have been to this lovely restaurant many times and had some great meals long before they achieved Michelin star status. Today we came for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday before setting off home in the evening. We had a truly memorable meal from start to finish at moderate prices for a restaurant of this standard. The flavours in... More

An explosion of tastes, beautifully presented, innovatively served, but with no fuss - simply superb. Charming and unobtrusive but helpful service. No hesitation in recommending and would revisit at the drop of a hat.

A party of 7 on a Saturday night is a good test for a restaurant and we all felt it was passed with flying colours! We went for the Le Serac menu which was a taster menu with main course choice. In the end, across the group, we sampled everything and it was great. Local wine was superb, service attentive... More

The amuse bouche was somewhat bizarre - if I had known the amount of sugar used (savoury macaroons anyone?) I would have altered the aperitif. Starter by far the most ambitious item but the main courses were plain and dissappointing - we felt they did not show any technical expertise. Desserts ok. Good choice of half bottles but for the... Having visited Les Contamines and St Gervais many times before because of its great skiing, we were wondering how we were going to survive two weeks on Savoire food, since we find it is generally stodgy and expensive for what it is. Thankfully we discovered Le Serac. We've just returned from a wonderful lunch. We chose the Serac Menu at... More

Whilst staying in the area, we decided to go out for a meal on 1st January, finding Le Serac on TripAdvisor and the Michelin website. We weren't disappointed, the restaurant is cosy, clean and modern, the à la carte menu is great and the two taster menus are brilliant, too (not being a fan of snails or marrow, I opted... More
