Superb

An explosion of tastes, beautifully presented, innovatively served, but with no fuss - simply superb. Charming and unobtrusive but helpful service. No hesitation in recommending and would revisit at the drop of a hat.

A party of 7 on a Saturday night is a good test for a restaurant and we all felt it was passed with flying colours! We went for the Le Serac menu which was a taster menu with main course choice. In the end, across the group, we sampled everything and it was great. Local wine was superb, service attentive... More

The amuse bouche was somewhat bizarre - if I had known the amount of sugar used (savoury macaroons anyone?) I would have altered the aperitif. Starter by far the most ambitious item but the main courses were plain and dissappointing - we felt they did not show any technical expertise. Desserts ok. Good choice of half bottles but for the... Having visited Les Contamines and St Gervais many times before because of its great skiing, we were wondering how we were going to survive two weeks on Savoire food, since we find it is generally stodgy and expensive for what it is. Thankfully we discovered Le Serac. We've just returned from a wonderful lunch. We chose the Serac Menu at... More

Whilst staying in the area, we decided to go out for a meal on 1st January, finding Le Serac on TripAdvisor and the Michelin website. We weren't disappointed, the restaurant is cosy, clean and modern, the à la carte menu is great and the two taster menus are brilliant, too (not being a fan of snails or marrow, I opted... More

Went to this restaurant for a very special meal - 40 years of marriage. The ambiance was brilliant, the view terrific and the service very friendly. The meal got off to a great start with a fantastic assortment of starters; hopes were further raised further by the amazingly innovative removal course - a very modern take on salad nicoise. However,... More

This is a true Michelin restaurant and if you look for a tasting experience you are right there. We had a menu for €53, consisting of the vegetarian trio of hors d'oeuvre (one of these was a very tasty cream mousse), another starter, main course and dessert. Everything was tasty, fresh and I loved the lime quinoa with roasted almonds... More

The team create a relaxed, friendly environment in which to enjoy the high quality food and wine served at Le Serac. Love the oozing truffled cheese! I have added photos from one of the yummy tasting menus we enjoyed. This restaurant has been a hidden gem for a few years now and it totally deserves all the recognition, praise and... More

I've eaten at Le Serac three or four times over the last few years while visiting St Gervais. It's a small restaurant run by a local husband and wife team and serving very good food at a reasonable price for what it is. It's certainly a cut above the other restaurants in the village, and well worth the trip for... More

Our main course consisted of pieces of meat with a watery jus, a couple of asparagus spears and nothing else!!! The starter tasters were the best part of the meal but the prawn (yes A single prawn) was raw.The soup of chicken consomme tasted "off" with under cooked vegetables and neither of us ate it. I booked this table for... More
