Very good!

We had lunch on a Sunday (the small menu because we were travelling). The amuses-bouche were excellent, the first appetiser (a mache sala with sweet breads) was good, if a bit too oily, and the slow-cooked boar was great. The deserts were very good too. Service was perfect and the atmosphere... read more

The food amazing, the service impeccable, the staff friendly and efficient, all in all a wonderful dining experience. We ate in the Espace Gourmand where the ambiance was refined, calm and relaxed. Our choice was the €79 menu which allowed a choice for only the main course between fish and meat. We chose a red wine from Grignan which was... More

Every dish was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. The beautiful garden made the perfect spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and dessert. A very romantic venue.

Michel Chabran is a very unassuming restaurant/ hotel a mile or so outside of Valence on quite a busy road. We stayed the night with our two children and dog. The rooms are comfortable, air conditioned etc, but I suppose by UK standards they are basic and smallish. They are however spotlessly clean and the bed was a good size.... More

We have visited this restaurant several times on our way to Spain or back home. I strongly advise those who book the restaurant to book one of the hotel rooms too. The accomodation of the restaurant as well as the hotel with its garden is just great. Mr Chabran and his crew make you feel at home and he is... More

If you like arrogant staff, dressed up like pinguïns, if you like old fashioned restaurants with food without any creativity and overpriced menus: this is your place. Sure, in this region, this is probably the best (and most expensive) restaurant but the owners do not seem to realise that the world has changed since they opened their restaurant ages ago.... More

We`ve been to michelin star restaurants and know what to expect. And they delivered all our expectations. We chose the seafood meny, and with the sommeliers help we chose a very nice and local white wine. We liked the wine very much, and got the address to the vineyard from the sommelier. Good service. :) The menu was well thought... More

We came to find the perfect Condrieu wine from Chabran's famed wine list, and were not disappointed. (Condrieu's don't ship well to the uS and production is so limited, it's hard to just "discover" one in an average restaurant or a roadside tasting) the restaurant staff was extremely tolerant of our odd ordering habits (no expensive multi-course prix fixe lunch...
