We (10 of us) enjoyed a great meal here. The maitre d' was very accommodating as we inadvertently turned up earlier than booked and were seated at a table prepared for another large party, but he didn't make us move and instead prepared them another table. We very much enjoyed a beef fondue and others on the table had Raclette... More

Have been going to La Plagne for years and this was our first visit to this restaurant with family. What a fantastic meal we had. From now on - this will be our first choice each visit and hopefully we can dine there a few times during our stay. Great food served by helpful friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Very busy,... More

Decided to try refuge after reading excellent reviews but it really isn't a patch on some of the other restaurants we tried such as grizzli and coin de feu.

Went here after hearing rave reviews all season so was really looking forward to it. The interior and service was great, very modern and quite different to other places here...but the food just doesn't match up to other restaurants in the area. My starter of meats and pate was average whilst the others onion rings were a bit TGI Fridays!... More

Short but sweet here. Had mixed meats starter and cote de boeuf, both amazing. 8 of us and 40 euros each with plenty of drinks. Great value and would definitely recommend it!

The venue is smartly decorated (modern savoyarde style) and feels special, the service was friendly and reasonably organised (spoke good English/helpfu). We had raclette which was good (similar to others, only missing some pickles on the side), the €24 menu was reasonable – the soup was the weakest course, trout for main was good (they did forgot a side order... Chalet kitchen closed for the evening, our party selected la refuge in the village centre. Fantastic choice of food, I opted for the €19 set price menu. Food was just excellent, service swift but friendly. Very tasty beautifully presented starter, main course steak cooked as requested, plenty of vegetable and fries. Ice cream ...yummy. A must for my next visit.

Opted for the raclette which was awesome. Half a block of cheese which must have been 30cm in diameter arrived with a heating device to melt it. It was served with cured meats, potatoes and salad which were simple yet delicious. We drank wine by the litre carafe which was great. The staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant... Fabulous meal on chalet day off. Enjoyed set price menu, €24, excellent value. Friendly helpful staff served 9 of us smoothly. Loved the contemporary setting. Can't recommend more highly.

So good we went twice. Staff spoke some English, very helpful and friendly we were made very welcome. The food was excellent. The tartiflette was excellent as was the lamb shank and the gratin potatoes. It does offer all the local specialities. Definitely recommend the restaurant
