We ate here on a Sunday night. This is not fine dining but it is good, enjoyable fare and offers value for money. The standard menu is supplemented by specials and there is a regional dimension to the food. Service is friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.

I have to say that this 'Bar Hotel Brasserie' is a little out of place, being located next to the train station - which is away from the town centre and most of the other places to eat and drink. Given that, it is a nice place, well decorated and clean. Stopping for a few afternoon drinks it was a... More

We were wandering around the town on a hot afternoon and the outside seating overlooking a good looking (but unused) station building was just too enticing to pass by. The cold drinks were very welcome.

Staying at the hotel on the final leg of our French journey we ate here after a long drive and an afternoon at la coupole (7mins drive). We ordered steak, sausage type dish and a kids chicken nuggets. Followed by crepes and profiteroles.... The profiteroles would have Fed ten people haha they were huge!! All of the food was fantastic... More

This restaurant is impressive for the quality of its welcome and its cooking, for its generous helpings and for its sensible prices. At lunchtime a wide variety of options is available - student menu, 2-course formulas, plat du jour, children's menu, as well as more ambitious menus and carte. In the evening there is still at least one affordable menu,... More

We used the restaurant as we were stopping in the hotel. We both had steaks which were of very generous portions served on a sizzling slate, so you could adjust the degree of cooking a little. I must confess to having had more tender steaks but not of these proportions. To follow I had the cheese board (plate) and my partner... More

We actually stayed at Chic o rail for a couple of nights which is a small hotel as well as a large restaurant next to the station. It is run by a couple who are very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was very busy on Friday and Saturday evening - some visitors to the town but also lots of locals,... More

The food was really good and the portions huge, and for a very small bill! The service was very friendly and helpful. I wish we had more restaurants like that in Belgium! Popular, tasty and cheap.
