This restaurant is excellent. In the heart of Saint Omer just off the square. Definately book as it is small but very busy. 4 couples were turned away and this was on a Wednesday evening. The food and service are superb. We were wondering if we would get any good French food while on holiday and then we found this.... More

Excellent classical French food. Service, price very reasonable for both food & wine. Small restaurant, would advise booking as they turned 4 couples away. Female owner is English.

Another great restaurant in Saint Omer. Conveniently located just off the main square. This is a rsstaurant with a fine dining style. The menu had many choices. I had Foie gras as a starter followed by pork mignon. Both were absolutely delicious. The meal was very reasonably priced for such a high standard! Highly recommended!

The dishes were dull and poorly executed. Caught in a time warp. Snails were dry and over cooked. Too much creamy sauce with fish dishes. Waitress friendly and helpful.

We had booked here for a Sunday evening because finding a restaurant open in France on a Sunday evening is not always easy and we had read the reviews. We were the only four dining that night although it had been very busy at lunch time. The food was the best we have eaten anywhere and very reasonably priced. We... More

I recently went to Saint Omer for the weekend. As first timers in Saint Omer we weren't sure where to eat, so decided to walk through the town and choose a restaurant. We came across La Belle Epoque on the corner near the tourist centre and weren't sure whether to go in. I am glad we did! With the town... More

We've been to St. Omer several times, but never eaten at Belle Epoque. We will definitely be going back though! The restaurant has a charming belle epoque atmosphere. Tables are spaciously arranged (very unusual in a French restaurant!) which gives it an intimate feel. The menu was imaginative, with the food being very well cooked and presented. A good selection... More

This is a lovely restaurant which is easy to get to and enjoy. The staff cannot do enough for you and all of the food is freshly prepared to a very high standard. The menu is homely and sensible and every element, from the wine to the petit fours is very enjoyable. If you like cheese, I recommend the cheese... More

We dined here on Valentine's evening, having booked the table by email correspondence from UK. This is a cosy, comfortable, welcoming, really good place to eat, just a few metres from the main square. I've been to La Cygne - the 'top' place in town several times and it is lovely - but Belle Epoque is just as lovely in... More

We have eaten here for at least three years on our regular December day trip to France and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent and the service genuine and friendly. This year, as it was a Friday, the restaurant opened for us only as we had made a prior reservation. There was no special fixed price menu... More
