The food here is of a very high standard and good value for money. We had a starter and main course for about €25 each plus an aperitif and a very good bottle of St Emilion. Total bill €94. The steak "Rossini" and magret de canard were cooked to perfection, both with concentrated but perfectly balanced sauces. The service was... More

Attention to detail is second to none , food is just superb , lunch for two came to €72.00 best to book via e mail as every table was taken or reserved on that Sunday , the duck breast is huge and can be cooked any way , smoked salmon was a generous portion , and snails perfectly cooked ,... More

As a family of four we prebooked La Belle Epoque restaurant on the internet some weeks prior to our visit to St Omer to dine on 8th August 2014 To say that we were pleasantly surprised by the experience would be an understatement. The welcome we received was second to none and the food prepared for us by Cedric was... More

My wife and I visited St Omer for a short break at the end of last week. Disappointed initially to discover that both Le Cygne and L'Histoire were closed for the last week in July and the first half of August but then found 'La Belle Epoque'. Absolutely super. Don't miss it - it's just off the square towards the... More

This restaurant is excellent. In the heart of Saint Omer just off the square. Definately book as it is small but very busy. 4 couples were turned away and this was on a Wednesday evening. The food and service are superb. We were wondering if we would get any good French food while on holiday and then we found this.... More

Excellent classical French food. Service, price very reasonable for both food & wine. Small restaurant, would advise booking as they turned 4 couples away. Female owner is English.

Another great restaurant in Saint Omer. Conveniently located just off the main square. This is a rsstaurant with a fine dining style. The menu had many choices. I had Foie gras as a starter followed by pork mignon. Both were absolutely delicious. The meal was very reasonably priced for such a high standard! Highly recommended!

The dishes were dull and poorly executed. Caught in a time warp. Snails were dry and over cooked. Too much creamy sauce with fish dishes. Waitress friendly and helpful.

We had booked here for a Sunday evening because finding a restaurant open in France on a Sunday evening is not always easy and we had read the reviews. We were the only four dining that night although it had been very busy at lunch time. The food was the best we have eaten anywhere and very reasonably priced. We... More

I recently went to Saint Omer for the weekend. As first timers in Saint Omer we weren't sure where to eat, so decided to walk through the town and choose a restaurant. We came across La Belle Epoque on the corner near the tourist centre and weren't sure whether to go in. I am glad we did! With the town... More
