After many visits to St. Omer we decided to try a couple of new things. Some things don't change so it was back to Le Cygne and Drie Kalders for evening meals first and the tried the Belle Epoque as it has a good write up on Tripadvisor. I can confirm that it is up there with the other two... More

Oh you bet. A trip to Calais for a bit of shopping before Christmas but stayed for a few nights in St Omer. Just 25 minutes easy drive out of Calais and into another world. Perfect French Town with children playing in the village square, fab choice of restaurants, little shops etc - could easily spend a few days there... More

This is a small, traditional restaurant. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and the service is very good. The food is really excellent and is exceptional value for money and we would happily recommend it.

We had a great meal here. The menu is small but varied and the food is cooked fresh to order. The restaurant is run by a French chef and his British wife but, don't worry, the food was properly French as was the warmth of the hospitality and the atmosphere. Just off the main square and very reasonably priced too.

We came across this restaurant on our visit around St Omer. It is really pretty and central to the main square. The food was superb!! And not overly expensive. There are set menus of two or three courses which, again, were amazing value for money. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This friendly restaurant is situated just off the main square of St Omer, very central and an easy walk from the main hotels. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and the food is beautifully cooked and presented. If we have a niggle it is only that between our two visits, six months apart, the menu had not changed - we... It was another visit to St.Omer and this time the right day of the week for La Belle Epoque, so after some e-mails with Cedric,we finally arrived. And were not disappointed..Easy to find and a nice outside appearance. Inside mirrors and red - all very Edwardian- and on two levels. A warm welcome and an interesting fairly short menu. Two... A splendid restaurant. Located just off the main square within sight of the Tourist Office, so very central. Great ambiance. Good food when we had dinner. Good wines. Family run, so guaranteed good service. And for those whose school French is a little rusty, an English version of their menu is available.

Picked this restaurant from the trip advisor list for what we hoped would be a quality meal at the start of our short break - September 2014 - and we booked. We were NOT disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, wonderful food, freshly prepared and beautifully presented, and the warmth and generosity of Kate's service makes La Belle Epoque a small restaurant not... More
