Great food and the staff were very friendly, which made for a very relaxing evening , well worth a visit if you are in the area.
We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and always been very pleased. However our meal last week was very disappointing. As it was a very hot day we both decided to just have a main course and a desert from the a la carte menu instead of the menu of the day that we usually have. We... More
My wife & me have been to this top restaurant the second time within 2 years & can highly recommend it! Service, food and atmosphere are absolutely top - as you actually would expect from a '1-Michelin Star' restaurant! The creative variations on the culinary side as well as from a presentation point-of-view are very 'inviting'. Be aware of the... More
We went four people for a birthday. The restaurant is decorated very nicely. The service was great. the dishes received from the chef were amazing. And our dishes were delicious too. The cheese cart that comes at the end is a great attraction and delicious. If we are ever in the neighborhood we will go eat there again.
We like it very much, dishes are nice and creative, the best lamb that we have ever had. The price is very reasonable and near our hotel, only 3 mins drive!
We went on the last night of the Lobster Menu on March 9th. Wow. Any place that can serve lobster carpaccio as a starter impresses me. Sommelier was knowledgable, great service throughout and every menu item was fresh and creative. Tasting menus in my opinion are being overrun in France by pigeon, so just imagine the happiness of enjoying a... More
We went to this place for lunch and had the menu "Fete du village a la campagne". We accompanied the courses with a glass of wine from the sommelier. The selection was very good and the food was out of this world. Different types of foie gras, fine vegetables, meats, fish and a frog leg soup. The service was very... More
Staying at the Hostellerie a la ville de Lyon with friends (33 persons in total), we had a 8 course dinner on a Saturday evening at the restaurant Philippe Bohrer situated just next to the hotel. A restaurant were you have to take your time to enjoy every dish with all your senses! To serve that many people at the... More
Philippe Bohrer, a very good Michelin starred cook/chef! (he also was chef for the Elysee, the French presidency palace) Honestly, I haven't been there in a small group... We are always around 20... As it is THE restaurant we go with my wife's family for birthdays, anniversaries. A few words about the location to start my review: Nice town house... More
The food was excellent, as you should expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Unfortunately the visit was a marred by the acoustics in the rather small dining room section that we were seated in. There was a group in who did not seem to be able to discern between inside and outside voices, also they did not seem to understand... More
