We went twice in five days. It's old fashion -- table side preparations with seasoned staff. A charming spot, especially if you tire of hotel dining rooms and you want something special to Bermuda.

Any restaurant that's been in business for over 200 years needs a visit if only to answer the question- why the hell is this so? The old mansion drips with history with original style of Bermuda architecture. Outstanding food with knock-out presentation including the heat-the-plate flame on the trolly that is pushed up right next to your table before it... More

Came here last year and really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant does smell a bit musty when you enter (I'm very sensitive to smells) but in a few minutes you don't even notice it. The trio of scallops as an appetizer is absolutely delic. I had trout and it was ok, but the others I went with had the steak... More

Food just lovely, service wonderful, atmosphere relaxing as it should be when dining. The place has history and the feeling is totally Bermudian. The waiter got the manager who knew the story well and was more then happy to share the story of the old house. Tom Moore's Tavern was built in 1652 as a private home for the Trott... More

Although staying in Hamilton, we elected to spend our 50th anniversary dinner here based on other reviews. Although the food was quite good, we had some complaints. When I made the reservation online, I told them it was our 50th anniversary and that I was on a gluten-free diet. I saw in their book when we arrived that both comments... More

This restaurant came highly recommended to us by a local. The service was great & friendly and the food was fantastic. Definitely go here if you are on the island!

The building is the oldest eatery in Bermuda. The service is top notch and very welcoming. The food is the best I have ever had in Bermuda, maybe even beyond. I ordered the filet mignon not only was the presentation beautiful; but the flavors and taste were over and above anything you would expect. It was simply extraordinary! You have... More

Our meall at Tom Moore was very good, and the service was even better. I agree with other reviewers about the tapenade, just terrific. As far as our meals, my husband said the fish chowder was very good. fish specials also were delicious, as was a wonderful chocolate dessert. Tom Moore would be a five but for the lingering musty... MOLD!! When we first got there, one of the first to be seated. The place smelled like mold. We were going to leave, but would have had to wait for another taxi. Overbearing smell. Love history, we live in a restored 300 year old house, but this was just must and mold. Very disappointing. NO FOOD? My wife asked me... More

The beautiful, romantic setting and wonderful, courtly service pretty much ensure you'll have a great evening. And while the food is quite good -- and should be at these prices -- it really isn't the star at Tom Moore's Tavern. Instead, it's one component of the whole experience. The chef certainly hit several very high notes: the green olive tapenade... More
