Local to the palace

Large typical Spanish restaurant/bar. Large pleasant terrace to the side, overlooking the river. Worth a stop when visiting the Palace.

La Rana Verde is next to the river and many tables are on an outside terrace literally at the edge of the river. A very romantic, picturesque setting. The service was friendly and quick. The waiter spoke at least, English, French and Spanish. There was a wide choice of food and wine and was delicious and reasonably priced. La Rana Verde... More

We were the lone diners here on a quiet January evening, but we noted that the restaurant had been busy at lunchtime so gave it a go. The food was good and pleasantly served by a friendy waiter whose wine recommendation also went down well.

Husband & I had lunch here. Arrived at 2pm...just starting to get busy. It was packed by 2:30. The waitress showed us to a table. Our waiter brought us menus (in Spanish) and gave us time to review (since we needed to decipher it). We both opted for the Menu del Dia for 15 euro, since that seemed the best... More

My husband and I stayed in Aranjuez for 8 nights in early September. We were camping and on a budget so I mostly cooked for ourselves at the campsite. On our last afternoon we decided to treat oursleves to lunch at El Rana Verde. The location is stunning! The interior beautiful and very clean. We had been "touted" a few... More

We went to Aranjuez for a day trip and it happened to be father's day! All the restaurants were packed and we were really desperate. So we decided to go to the one with the most people and wait for our turn. The employees were really working in fast motion, and after a while we were seated. We ordered jamon... More

This was the worst restaurant during our trip in Spain. Maybe even the worst restaurant I have ever been to. We should haven known from the fact that it was completely empty when we entered. The food is really bad: We had cheese as a starter which was 6 slices of old cheese which would cost 50 cents in the... More
