Typical regional cooking

We had our last dinner in Aranjuez here and it was really enjoyable: a group of 20 people ordering different dishes: everithing was managed with professionality and we had a really nice dinner.

(2 adults & 2 small children) Arrived at a busy time, wait was appropriate and you have to give your name & listen for it. I had the Smoked salmon Salad with ‘salsa rojo’ for € 13.80 which consisted of canned corn kernels and shredded white lettuce with some slices of salmon draped in a kind of seafood sauce. Dismal... Loved the grilled seasonal vegetables and the steak was really tender and delicious. We have eaten here on several occasions.

Very nice location near the palace and on the riverside. We were attracted by the menu of the day, which seemed very reasonable €16. Took our seats on the riverside terrace and were given English menus. Asked about the menu of the day - no. Bread provided with the meal was so so, especially as it was charged , without... More

Nothing particularly negative here, location was stunning, picked a table that overlooked the river. Food was edible (although nothing special) as we all opted for the entrecote steak... came as huge slices of steak, cooked 'blue' so they were raw inside. It wasn't that the service was bad either, more absolute indifference. Waiter just didn't seem at all interested. 4... More

We spent one day in Aranjuez and searched lunch restaurant. El Rana Verde looked outside little bit worn out but inside all was fine. Table and terrace overlooking the river and carefully prepared salads. Local people having lunch too. Friendly service.

We came into the restaurant because of the quantity of writers, who used to meet in the place in the past. The area is ok and the restaurant is nicely decorated. Food was just ok, wine excellent as well as the service.

We stopped at El Rana Verde for a much needed soft drink, but much impressed by the very helpful and friendly staff we had a quick look at the menu and decided to dine there that evening. This proved a good decision, so much so that we dined there again the following night! Excellent mushrooms, Burgos black pudding and frogs... More

We had a wonderful 2 hour lunch - menu of the day - which included wine, beer or a soft drink. The food was very good, the staff friendly and the location superb - we ate on a riverside balcony. Given the quality of the food and wonderful location the price was reasonable indeed.

Large typical Spanish restaurant/bar. Large pleasant terrace to the side, overlooking the river. Worth a stop when visiting the Palace.
