Indeed, this was the last of three wonderful restaurants we dined at during a business conference in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. Set in a former monastery, it was easy to lose one's imagination in the atmosphere of its ancient walls, draped with banners and trimmings of an era long past. We ate in a party of about 70, so had... More

Stunning dining room. No atmosphere on account of my party being the only diners apart from one couple who finished there meal a while before we did. Food competent but not great. Staff slightly miserable. I suspect we would have loved it if it had been a bit busier.

This lovely restaurante on the quiet street, c/Santiago, 18 had been a convent in its previous life. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday; it was approximately an hour drive from Madrid. Our superbly presented meals of solomillo (filet mignon) and rapa con langostinos (monkfish with prawns) were tasty with just the right amount of sauces. We added the recommended... More

Located in a a former convent and chapel, beautiful place with great food. The ambience is great, with tapestries hanging from the chapel's walls, and the food is wonderful, the beef is great and the roasted lamb is superb.

This restaurant setting and ambience is beautiful! We ate here recently with another couple and we all were very pleased. 2 of us had the roasted lamb and 2 had the Dorado seafood. The entre's, salad ,soup and asparagus along with several complementary after dinner drinks were all superb. I can highly recommend this lovely restaurant to you! Bon appetit!

I visited here with a colleague for dinner. The restaurant has plenty of character and is close to the histroical centre. The restaurant offers a variety of set menu's with wine and coffee included and the choice is great. Food tastes great and is well presented. Service is good in what is a very popular place. I would have liked... More

We found ourselves in the charming town of Alcalá d Henares at mid-day. My wife and I had read the reviews about the poor service before making La Cupula our destination for lunch. We arrived expecting grumpy waiters, and we got them! We were served by four waiters. Although two of them tried to make our lunch a more pleasant... More

Restaurant is in an old Capuchine Monastery. Visited with large party of friends old and new. Arrived early for dinner only 10.30 at night. Superb service although the menu is in Spanish only. I doubt that the tapas is typically Spanish but it was very good. The linen, cutlery and crockery are a bit special. I had a superb fish... More

Went with a work colleague and had a great meal. My colleage spoke Spanish which helped as it did not seem like the wait staff spoke English (although I did not need to attempt so I can't say for sure that they didn't)
