Greek cuisine at it's best.

Really good food. Must dishes are the musaka, meatballs and pumking pie. They also have a rare delicasy (snailssss). On the minus side...slow service. And you must have booked ahead, otherwise you will not find a rable.

Off the main steer Ethnikis Adistaseos (towards Halandri suberb), this famous (among locals) taverna, offers traditional well made greek food. Many "old" recipies are found, reminding memories from the child hood. Budget and very tasty

The owners seem to think that he and his family are celebrities, so do not need to bother about service. Waiting 45 minutes for the bill, despite repeated requests which were totally ignored, means that it is automatically off my list. A family run taverna can be great if the family is big enough. This family is definately not. The... More

If you want to try authentic Greek cuisine at its best, this is the place to go. Very friendly, family-atmosphere tavern where you can taste Greek dishes with a homemade quality!!! Especially for lunch. Don't be discouraged of you see people waiting, service is very fast and people rotate soon. Braised beef with potatoes is my favorite!

They didn't have some of the dishes on the menu but still had a decent variety. The food quality was one of the best I've had in Athens and I live here. Service was excellent, very nice staff and food came out relatively quickly. On top of that prices were very reasonable! Definitely recommend it for authentic greek food experience!

A big choice of menu. Run by grand mothers who cook fantastic homecooked food at its best, great variety, Greek food at its best. Their bifteki, fasolada, pies, everything is authentic and delicious. The Grandfathers take the orders and they are fun....a must try for Non Greeks and deserves loyalty from the Greeks. Too full on the weekends....better eat early... More

Excellent food; how a home-cooked meal should taste! My friends/business associates took me to Kitsoulas for lunch. Very unassuming set up, but the food was indeed excellent. The owner, who took the order, is a real character and adds a lot to the experience. I strongly recommend it for a great lunch!

Things cannot get any better elsewhere if you look for genuine, perfectly cooked Greek dishes some of which are quite sophisticated. The great secret of Greek food is that it must be fresh, from the kitchen to the table and that Kitsoulas does best. It is reasonably priced and very good value for money.
