Centrally located pavement style restaurant serving delicious fresh food and plenty of it reasonably priced. We had grilled cheese (saganaki) and chicken kebabs with a delicious sauce.

Everything BUT ZAXOS, is an insult to Souflakia! A visit to Athens without a meal (lunch or dinner... or even take away) at ZAXOS, is like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower (not that I particularly like that monster). I know I'm probably on extremely thin ice, but nevertheless I maintain, that ZAXOS is easily one of... More

We had gyros pitas and the pita bread was too thick and not too warm enough. The worst thing was the older waiter who was so boored and unpolite that if the service is important to you, use another place (gross the street). We felt that we were disturbing waiters day!

Had lunch there - food was ok, but the waiter tried to charge almost 200 percent of the bill. When I asked for the bill, he didn't provide one, but simply said it was 25 euro. I asked for the bill again, he came back with a printed receipt that showed only one item that was 25 euro. When I... More

Though you can get a lot of great souvlaki places in Greece. Many don't have as delicious a bifteki (like a meatball) souvlaki as Zaxos! Very tasty. Their french fries with grated cheese and home mustard/mayo sauce is excellent. I also tried their roasted half chicked. It was very moist melted in your mouth. Salads are super fresh and the... A dirty old fashioned miserable hellhole with sitting outside. Kebab meats looked awful and kind of barbaric, we ended giving the kebab to a stray cat. Everyone looked miserable from the patrons sitting outside to the staff inside, the cooks seemed like unhappy Albanian builders. Zaxos goes all out to promote the dive, girls pester people on the street pavement... More

We stumbled upon this gem by chance while wandering around looking for a place to eat. We were immediately greeted with kind, smiling faces. Our son wasn't sure what to order, so the server brought him into the grill area to show him everything they were cooking. We did not have to wait long for our food and we found... More

Great choice of souvlaki that was fresh and well cooked. Good location in central Glyfada, prices were incredibly reasonable for the standard of food. Welcoming staff and family friendly, we will definitely return on our next trip.
