yummy desserts

Took a break from shopping one cold afternoon in December to warm up with coffee and dessert. We picked the right place! The latte was perfection and their plain old black coffee was full of flavor without being acrid or bitter. A really nice blend! Desserts were worth passing around so we each... read more

Just look for the red and yellow awnings. Excellent homemade food. Service is very good. Great deserts! Live music most evenings. Small patio. Spoons continues to anchor the beautiful Downtown McKinney square w grace and excellence.

For this Bostonian dropping into historic McKinney square is like another world. My breakfast at spoons is likewise another level. The Mira's were recommended and they were great though way too much for me to handle...diets be damned...I may break down and try what looks like amazing sweets to top off a great savory!

My favorite place for lunch is to grab a table at Spoons in Downtown McKinney. If the weather is nice, it's a great place to sit on the patio and people watch. Food is delish and has a wonderful "home cooked" quality about it. Don't go downtown and not stop here.

We've been to Spoons several times over the years. Since they have longer hours on Sundays our visits are more frequent. Our server was a young guy just amazing! The menu is great and it is awesome to rest from the typical chain menu in a cozy ambiance. Fresh, good portions, gluten free options, for all lifestyles- the I want... More

This is a very traditional diner in downtown McKinney that offers home-made quality food at reasonable prices and also offers excellent service.

This was my second trip to Spoons, and I was not disappointed. The club sandwich was ve r y tasty, and plenty to eat. The chicken fried chicken was served very fresh, and was comparable to some of the best I have ever tasted. The chicken waffle was also very good. Couple that with the city square and the revitalization... More

Spoons is always busy, probably because the food is so good. Great desserts and a breakfast buffet on the weekends. Definitely worth the wait.

My family and I have been coming here for years. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert - they have it all. Personal favorites are the breakfast omelettes, chicken salad sandwich, and king ranch casserole. My husband loves all their food, but swears that their cheeseburger is one of the best he has ever had. There isn't anything special about the ingredients, just... More

Good food....home cooked style. Lunchtime is very busy. Expect to wait about 30 min. Lots of kids in summer. Brace for noise level.
