We were lucky enough to visit the restaurant on a rare pleasant evening in July which allowed us to eat outside on the patio. It was fun ordering numerous tapas, and everything was so good! Special mention goes to the Lollipop Lamp Chops, tiger shrimp, Malaga croquettes, bacon-wrapped dates and sweet red pepper with a goat cheese center. Enjoyed the... More

We weren't impressed with the food, service was slow and food didn't have good flavor and under cooked, and over priced! We won't go back.

We have been frequenting this restaurant since the time the original founder built this theme restaurant in it's original location. She was fortunate to move to a larger and more attractive venue some years ago. The current owner has built on the success but in absent and the place has suffered from neglect and sloppy service. I hope he recognizes... More

Myself and a friend went here for a quick dinner one saturday evening. Such a shame we couldn't stay for longer. It's definitely a place where you could sit for a few hours and browse over a meal. You can choose entree size portions but I loved the fact you could choose numerous appetizer plates and mix and match with... More

Here's an unexpected treat a little off the beaten path in McKinney, TX. We recently visited Café Malaga for the first time. We found the food to be great and the service very friendly. Be sure to check their business hours before going. They are a bit quirky.

Do you like tapas? If so, Café Malaga is an excellent place to visit. Located just off the main square in McKinney Texas, Malaga’s has a unique variety of tapas at a reasonable price. They also have a full bar with seating both inside and outside. Great cuisine for the entire family. The food is very flavorful, well prepared and... More

Last night I went the this restaurant primarily to listen to a local band but was glad that they had food and the reviews were relatively good except that several of them commented on the service. Upon my arrival, I discovered that reservations were preferred but the hostess was able to seat me quickly. After a few minutes the waitstaff... More

We are tapas last Saturday afternoon. Service was quick, and vegetarian tapas like stuffed peppers and hummus tasted great. The potatoes were just OK.

Not sure what the good reviewers ordered to make it positive but this place is a bad version of someone trying to imitate Spanish food, what a bad and expensive choice. All my family is straight from Spain (Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona) and there is no possible place in Spain that could be as bad as this one.

Waiters were very attentive but food was not good. It should have been a sign when we walked in for lunch and the place was empty. Food is very overpriced and not authentic or representative of Spanish food in any way. I don't recommend and would never return.
