Great prices - great "mom and pop"

Very reasonably priced. Wonderful breakfast. Great daily lunch specials. Chicken fried steak is always a great standby. Of course mashed potatoes to go with it, and they are real mashed potatoes, not powdered stuff. Even if the parking lot looks crowded, go on in. There are 4 separate dining rooms... read more

Best breakfast around. Hand down. Biscuits and gravy can't be beat. Nice choices for the kids as well. Get there at the right time and sit at the bar.

This place is iconic. It is run down. the front room looks straight out of 1950. The food is ala carte. they don't take anything but cash. they have an ATM. Everyone is using it. food is honestly a bit bland. I don't seek this place out for food. It is the experience.

I have been eating at Bill Smith's Café in McKinney, Texas for years. Old fashioned cooking at its finest. You might think that you are having hot coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or homemade pies, but you are actually getting a whole lot more. This is the place that you can re-connect with what matters most: American families eating together, veterans... More

I asked for a veggie omelette to be cooked soft or loose... The egg was so burnt that I could not cut it with the fork. I asked the waitress to let the cook to make another.. She came back and said that Bill Smith himself had cooked it and made no offer to adjusts he bill or remake the... More

Bill Smith's is a true legendary staple to the folks in McKinney, Texas and surrounding communities. They offer a full selection of breakfast and lunch menu items, and they're all pretty much delicious! The true hidden gem is their delicious, homemade pies! Make sure you save room!!!

Service is spotty. Difficult to find a table especially on the weekend. Food isn't consistent. After several visits where the service and food were poor, we have decided to go elsewhere.

Wow!! We love coming here on Saturday mornings. Open 4:30am to 2 pm so don't come late for lunch but you can come early for breakfast. A 1950's ambiance and waitresses you will know by first name. Where you can get two eggs, bacon, coffee, pancakes (sweet potato is a little extra), all for $5-6. Pay in cash, no credit... More

We had family over from out of town, and wanted to introduce Bill's cafe to them for breakfast. We never got a chance to because it was so packed with people that some were standing along the walls waiting on a table and the wait was ridiculous. The cashier lady told us we had to get a table on our... More

Decided to finally try the legendary Bill Smith's Cafe and was expecting this awesome breakfast, but honestly it was just average. There was no place to sit down when we entered and absolutely no place to stand and wait for a table. We kept moving around and making way for the staff until a table opened. Building is old and...
