Still good, quality going South

We have been visiting Gregory's Bistro off and on over the last 4 years. We dined here again last night after about a year hiatus. The food was decent but it has slid enough that I would no longer say that it is worth the price. A long time favorite of mine has been to pair their Rainbow Trout... read more

First... It's BYOB. Good news is that McKinney Wine Merchant is right across the street with an excellent selection from which to choose. The food and service are both very very good. Very small… But that makes it special Fine dining at mid range prices

What a lovely time we had at this wonderful restaurant. Gregory is a wonderful chef, and Lydia does all the work for the service in the restaurant along with a small but very capable staff. The food is wonderful. You will not be disappointed. A few things to consider: If you are going on the weekend they have 2 sittings,... More

I went with a group of friends recently. The service was impeccable. It is a BYOB establishment so many purchased wine across the street at the McKinney Wine Merchant. Our server chilled our selections and refilled our glasses. My favorite entree is the Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster risotto. Served with fresh baked bread and rich butter it was rich... More

Very small place, so a reservation is recommended. Food is expertly prepared and delicious. I particularly like the Chilean Sea Bass. You can also bring your own wine, or purchase from the wine shop across the street.

Gregory's Bistro is a great, intimate little gem right off the square in downtown McKinney featuring classic French and neuvo dishes made from local ingredients. Great place for a romantic dinner.

Great food, great service and a lovely place to visit in the old town of Mc Kinney. As we only go back to Texas during the holidays to visit our kids, we always go there , every year since Gregory opened his place in Mc Kinney, and we were never disappointed. Most of the customers are repeat clients, which is... More

Gregory's Bistro is a favorite of mine. The food has always been enjoyable and yet reasonably priced for the high quality. And anytime I can have great food and BYOB, I consider it to be a diamond in the rough. A great bottle of wine, great food and a cozy atmosphere is hard to beat. The only issue that I... More

It's a wonderful thing when your food is being prepared by a chef owner who loves what he does. This place will take you to a small town in France where you will be welcomed by the chef and his wife. Not a common experience anywhere in North Texas. Sure, there are many upscale French restaurants in Dallas, but who... More

Had lunch at Gregory's today. Must say this is by far the best place for lunch in McKinney. The food is beyond good. We had the Seared Chilean Seabass, Saffron Broth, Ratatouille and the Grilled Breast, Chive Risotto, Lemon Butter Sauce. Both entrees were cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with bread pudding which was unbelievably good. Had never... More
