Was good

Had some tacos and beers at the bar. The tacos were great and the carne asada was very tasty. Beer and food prices were reasonable. Walking distance to my hotel is a plus and if I was here another day I'd head back tomorrow.

I have eaten here several times and like to bring friends from out of town. The food is excellent with large portions, I always had to bring some home. They have a large menu. The service was excellent.

The food is quite good (flavourful, well prepared), but the place is kind of dirty, dark, old. They need an urgent update. The service is good.

Tried to go have a mothers day lunch. Botanas were $179 for 4 people, thats ridiculous. I walked out. No wonder there was no wait. Never stepping foot in an establishment that takes advantage of its customers because of the occasion, they were going to make a lot of profit anyways it was mothers day

I tried a taco platter that included two beef tacos and a side of rice. The beef was seasoned very well, and I could tell that the flour tortillas were homemade. The side of rice was actually the most flavorful Mexican rice that I have ever tasted. I now realize that other places' were extremely bland. Another first is that... More

Close to the worst Mexican I have ever had. Chips were hard as rocks. Salsa was flavorless. Steak fajitas were overcooked, dry. It was obvious they precooked the meat and then just reheated when ordered. There are too many good Mexican places in McAllen to every try this place again.

Food is overpriced, service is as bad as it gets, and the place is dirty. Enough to never make me go back.

I tried this place for Sunday breakfast since it was across the street from the hotel that I was staying at. The breakfast was buffet style except for some made to order items like pancake, eggs, quesadillas, etc. Best of all was the papaya. I love this especially with lots of lime squeezed on top. The papaya was absolutely ripe... More

I thought the place was well decorated but that's about the only good thing I can say about this restaurant. As soon as I came in, we had to stop talking because I could not hear the person next to me. The mariachi was playing and it was really loud. I love commotion in a restaurant but this was too... This is not my first time eating at this restaurant but had not been back for over a year. Tonight's experience was just HORRIBE! We ordered a Botana for 6 for $56.00 and we got what looked like a botana for 2 comparing to similar restaurants in the area like Taco Ole, Taco Palenque or Casa Del Taco. We had... More
