Every meal at The Patio, whether at noon or evening, is a sure winner. The fish tacos and Cobb salad at noon are excellent meals. In the evening start with the crab cakes because the taste will transport you to the Baltimore waterfront! The Guerra tapas are classic Mexican cuisine that I can best describe as haute cuisine Mexicaine. Steaks... More

My wife and I had been dining here steadily for about a year, and until recently had nothing but the highest regard for this restaurant. On our most recent visit, however, our waiter (let's call him "Angelo") tried to pull what looked like a fast one on us. I asked him if he could serve me a glass of Mondavi... More

Stopped by on business after a recommendation. This is primarily an upscale steakhouse. I went for the sirloin and received the best cut of beef I've ever had. There are plenty of vegetable sides to choose from but I went for the baked potato. Again cooked perfectly. An extensive wine list adds to the great experience. Second night... of course... More

Great menu (though very pricey), wonderful ambiance and excellent service. The decor is warm and very native to south Texas, so the whole evening was well worth it!

We were 20 there for lunch celebrating 3 birthdays. We ordered off their lunch menu. Eight year in the valley and this was the best place yet we have been. Price for 2 including salad and entree and 2 drinks each was $77.00 with tip in. The service was a bit slow but no one complained, they came to the... More

Pretty ambiance but the food is over-priced for the quality and quantity. Just because you call yourself upscale, doesn't mean you actually are and can charge that way. There are many other places to eat here in McAllen that are better than this restaurant. For some reason the waitress at the other table was down right snide and rude to... More

This is special. Pricey-but worth it! Excellent service, great wine list, beer list and cocktails. Steaks melt in your mouth. Waiters are attentive and very knowledgeable. Come early because street parking is a challenge. You won't regret a visit to The Patio.

Shared a table with friends on Saturday night when The Patio was full of very large parties and had excellent service. The ceviche and quail appetizers were very delicious and generous portions, so highly recommend them. The bar service was great also. Congratulations to the Guerra family for adding this delightful restaurant to the Valley. We will certainly return the... More

The Menu is slightly pricey, but the food is good. We ordered a lobster bisque and it was extremely salty, the lamb chops I ordered were extremely charred (they tasted burnt) for being medium rare. My husband said the steak was great though! The live music was very loud, and nothing spectacular. The atmosphere was very nice though, and the... More
