Old world charm in a new world setting. Great food choices, excellent setting, wonderful staff. If Ruben is available ask for him as your waiter. Great service. The fish selection is outstanding, we had the Halibut which was cooked to perfection. The presentation is outstanding and is surpassed by the quality of the meal. Be sure to try the Calamari... More

Went to this restaurant for dinner one night while in McAllen with a colleague. Good restaurant, with nice options. I had a grilled pork chop with house potatoes and it came with a salad included. For dessert I had the crime brûlée. Overall a nice restaurant for fine dining.

Went there for Happy Hour only to discover this place doesn't have a Happy Hour. The lobster roll is fantastic although the portion is a bit small. The tapas, quail and tuna starters were all very good! The house Pinot Noir was good. The service was extremely fast! Each small plate I ordered arrived within minutes, had nice presentation and... Every meal at The Patio, whether at noon or evening, is a sure winner. The fish tacos and Cobb salad at noon are excellent meals. In the evening start with the crab cakes because the taste will transport you to the Baltimore waterfront! The Guerra tapas are classic Mexican cuisine that I can best describe as haute cuisine Mexicaine. Steaks... More

My wife and I had been dining here steadily for about a year, and until recently had nothing but the highest regard for this restaurant. On our most recent visit, however, our waiter (let's call him "Angelo") tried to pull what looked like a fast one on us. I asked him if he could serve me a glass of Mondavi... More

Stopped by on business after a recommendation. This is primarily an upscale steakhouse. I went for the sirloin and received the best cut of beef I've ever had. There are plenty of vegetable sides to choose from but I went for the baked potato. Again cooked perfectly. An extensive wine list adds to the great experience. Second night... of course... More

Great menu (though very pricey), wonderful ambiance and excellent service. The decor is warm and very native to south Texas, so the whole evening was well worth it!
