Before going back to ATX we stopped by at Delia's for some great Tamales. Best Tamales ever, just like my grandma Mari would make them. Must eat here if visiting South Texas.

This place used to be good but as the years pass they seem to get sloppier with the tamales. They put less filling (chicken, meat) in them and it seems to be mainly mace. I ordered a dozen of chicken and cheese tamales and I could barley see any chicken or cheese. They were also extremely greasy. Nasty to say... More

You shouldn't go to Delia's for anything but tamales. They are a counter service restaurant. Tamales are served in quantities of 6 or 12. They also have menudo soup on weekends. We love all the varieties we have tried from sweet to spicy. Def will eat here again. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is of the fast food variety.

Tamales are delicious. The place was crowded so we needed to wait like 20 min. I tried the menudo also (I was a fan of the pancita when I was leaving in Mexico City) and the flavor was perfect!

Obviously if you have to ask then you probably don't know one of the best Mexican dishes ever created. Simply , it is a corn husk layered with a corn based paste filled a protein filling ( pork ,chicken, beans ect. ) then rolled and steamed cooked to perfection. When it is served you simply unroll the corn husk and the... More

We have been a huge fan of Delia's since it was a one place operation with just a few working in the old location on S. 23rd St. Last year's order of 30 or so dozen were pretty good, but still not as good as they used to be. This year, I've placed two separate orders (6 dozen each order)... More

I wish we had time to order more! Excellent. Just visiting in the area and love little places like this. Authentic. You won't be sorry - don't let the location or very casual non-decor trip you up. Go in- relax & enjoy

We bought 6 dozen tamales to bring back to the UK. Luckily my mom froze them and we packed in a second nearly empty suitcase in a freezer cool bag. This time we did not get charged extra for the weight of tamales in our cases. They are the best in the world!

We love love love Delia's Tamales, in fact we don't eat tamales from anywhere else. They are the best by far and available in so many options.....chicken, spicy chicken, pork, cream cheese and jalapeno, and many more. Those are just our favorites. We are so happy that the numbers of locations has expanded and we now have one fairly close... More

Before Delia's Tamales, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas tamales were difficult to find. And even when you found a location that had tamales, there was no variety. Generally the only filling in most tamales was pork. I DO NOT EAT PORK! So, I rarely had tamales. And then, Delia's Tamales opened 1 location. And I could have bean or chicken... More
