Was craving a great salad for dinner after heavy Mexican lunch. We pulled in the parking lot of one of many shopping centers and thought... blah.... when we arrived the greeting was quick and the staff super friendly. The ice tea was dark and strong (unlike our lunch iced tea weak). We all ordered salads and found that the grilled... More

Was in the area for business and went to dinner here with our clients. This location had a really good bottled beer selection. The food was amazing. I order a Calzone and was a little worried that there would be too much sauce or dough. When I got my food I was really surprised. Very Little sauce on the inside... More

The Blue Onion is a quaint spot with super fresh salads, amazing dips to enjoy with their homemade flatbread, sandwiches, and pizzas. Everything is made with high-quality ingredients. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Great place for a date or couple's night out. Small but well-chosen beer and wine list.

Not much to look at but the food is great. Staff is wonderful. A nice selection of beers. A must stop if you are tired of eating Mexican food.

The calzones are our family favorites but all of the food is delicious. The Tuesday gumbo and Friday stew are a few of the daily specials that keep you coming back. The prices are very reasonable, the service is wonderful, and all of the staff is always friendly.

Great service, wonderful food with special emphasis on the grilled chicken salad which is our winner for lunch. My wife and I are there almost every Friday for lunch. Reasonable prices and it is A one on our list.

Well, the bouillabase remains on top. Tried the Tuesday night Gumbo, disappointed. All sausage with a few spices added, should not be called gumbo. No shrimp, okra, fish, should be called sausage soup. 9.29 for bowl of sausage pieces, bad, bad. Will not order again. Servers are great, gumbo bad news.

People were super awesome, food was delicious. We love to try different craft beers so this was a really nice touch to find here in here in McAllen. We will come back when we are in town!
