I'm a thin guy but when they gave us a serving size for two it had a spoon full of sides and I had gotten a mix of fajita, brisket, and chicken. We ask is this it the guy said yes gee what a rip of 17 bucks never again. Avoid yourself the trouble go somewhere else.

This is not a fancy-eating place, but if you want delicious BBQ, come here! I've had their chopped sandwich...YUM!!! Fajita tacos...YUM!!! Sausage tacos...YUM!!! Their spanish rice & beans are very good too; authentic. I've had their pork rib plate and I enjoyed it too. It's true about the parking...so we go right before the lunch hour or after 1 and... More

Good BBQ is all about Texas. They don't do a very good job at it. The place is and old house tht was converted long ago and not very well. The parking is not good either. It is ok, but there are better.

Nothing special about it, rustic decor, regular food, location is okay, but too much traffic and not enough parking space.

The Barbecue is good but the prices are fantastic! The people running the place are very friendly! Very rustic atmosphere and they have a tv above the fireplace! I had the chopped beef sandwich and it was flavorful! The baked potato was great! The beef ribs were cooked perfectly but lacked flavor; with BBQ sauce they tasted good! I would... More

Let's be honest. The Rio Grande Valley is a wasteland when it comes to BBQ joints. Taco joints and Mexican food? Heaven. BBQ? Not so much. Red Barn tries and mostly succeeds at bringing some dignity to the Valley BBQ discussion. To be fair, though, the style here is closer to Tex-Mex than 'cue. Standard sides are charro beans (excellent,... More
