When we saw the billboard with $1 Jell-O shots and DJ crazy legs we were intrigued. We want and there were not many people there. There are some shuffleboard games and air hockey out back,'but the energy was just not there. We were really interested in DJ crazy legs set and on the billboard it said he was playing 9:30-1:30-... We went at padre's on our only night in Marfa since it was the only open place we found. There was a country singer with is guitar so it was really nice. We ate sweet potato fries and hot wings, both were good!

i get to talk to visitors in town often and try to tell of each great place to eat. The bar has had a few cooks past few years but know there specialy made burgers are the best in town ( not the giant one at Jets bar & grill) Reminded me of the movie ''Batteries Not Incluced''. A lady... More

Cool bar with a dance area at the front (live band that played when we were there was fun). And an area in the back for bar games including foosball, ping pong and shuffleboard. They also have a patio but it was raining so didn't get to experience it. They close at midnight.

We got into Marfa late in the evening and every place to grab a bite was closed. We drove around and found Padre's. We were a little intimidated going in but the staff was friendly, burger was good and we chatted up a few of the patrons. There was a diverse group of people in the joint that night.

I didn't get a chance to try Planet Marfa while I was in town because it was closed for a private party, but Padre's was my favorite nightlife spot. The outdoor space was the perfect spot to hang out and talk to new friends.

Admittedly, I've been away from you lately Padres, but 8 months ago we had it together more than now. Not sure what was going on, but we had all of the bad characteristics that a town trying too hard to be snobby can have. Unresponsive waitstaff/bartender? Check, "Alternative you won't understand" music? Check. Even the food missed the mark this... More

I was here 3 years ago-happening place. Now, the bar staff are zombies with no personality, the music will put you to asleep and the energy has gone with the Marfa lights-illusive and unpredictable. Sad-Padres used to be great. Now it's trying to hard to please the LA crowd.

We happened by Padre's because our other choice was closed - but it was buy one get one burgers. It ended up being a great deal for us. We both had burgers and fries - all of which was pretty good. The atmosphere was pretty cool, but the music was screeching (whatever it was they were playing). I'm a huge... More

loved this bar. Great indoor and outdoor areas. Lots of seating and great beer. We got lucky enough to see Holy Wave there (no cover).
