Coffee good. My Chiorzo scrambled eggs fair, dry, beans from can & microwaved too long. Daughter loved her biscuits & gravy, son liked bacon & sunny side up, hubby liked trash can burrito. Seems like a nice down home place so rated as as average.

Johnny B's was about the only place to have breakfast near *the* hotel in Marathon. But that's not as bad as it sounds. The service was fine, as was the food. I'd call the restaurant very local in appearance---not very different from those in rural Massachusetts (where we once lived) that catered to those in all walks of life. Lots... More

Very friendly cook and waitress. Both young ladies make an extra effort to help you enjoy your dining experience ... which for me was breakfast on two days.

Quaint little 50' s diner Texas style. Great fresh handmade burgers and the staff is so friendly. Must try Mexican tortilla burger. Very inexpensive. A must stop if going to marathon area or big bend.

Waitress was excellent. Good breakfast....well only breakfast in town. True country breakfast. Small, but quaint old style soda shop. Meal was served quickly so we could hit the road for Big Benc.

We had lunch and breakfast here multiple times during our stay. The kids loved the bacon and pancakes. My husband and I really enjoyed the migas....yummy! My husband and kids loved the burger, I was out of luck because they had no veggie burgers but oh well....small town diner probably doesn't get a ton of requests for veggie burgers. Cute... More

We actually tried to eat there twice but only succeeded once. The first time we tried the small place was packed (It was the only thing open for breakfast since the Marathon Coffeehouse had decided not to open that day.) After fifteen minutes and no attention at all we went to the counter and got coffees to go ($1 for... More

Stopped in for lunch as there was not much open to choose from in Marathon on a weekday. I ordered the chili cheese dog and my spouse ordered the jalapeño cheese burger with fries. The hot dog was excellent with homemade chili. I asked them to add mustard. I would definitely would order that hot dog again! The hamburger was... More

Half a block down from the Gage Hotel, this homey place is perfect for a retro breakfast. Our waitress Phoebe was responsive and affable (so is the whole town; everybody says howdy to you). The hard-working griddle man was also right out of Central Casting. My husband said it was a nearly perfect replica of the places he used to... More

A lovely friendly restaurant, with freshly cooked food. A good place to stop for food if you're in the area.
