This place has been here forever. I've been going to it since I was a kid and I've got to say they probably have the best burgers in the area. I wouldn't go and order anything else. There are 2 locations. Gotta try it. They are amazing!

We have visited Ray's for several years and it remains the best hamburgers you can get. The meat is hand pressed and placed on buns slightly toasted. Onion rings are a great taste and good side to order.

Good burger joint but T & G gives them a run for their money and they are a better value! Ray's should concentrate on burgers and fries and quit trying to compete with chains. Revive the fifties atmosphere more. Why do we still have Ame's Fried Chicken as open on this website. Is anyone really reading this stuff if we... More

Best hamburger in Lufkin. It beats any chain restaurant hands down. It is closed on Sunday, but open 6 days. The Rays Special is excellent. We take all our "out of Town" friends here.

I first visited Ray's back in the sixties, and the place hasn't changed much. They still make an excellent old fashion handmade burger. The fries are fresh cut and the onion rings are crisp and tasty. And Ray's makes the best milk shakes in the area. I always try to stop by rays every time I come through Lufkin.

Visited Ray's with my daughter for lunch on a Saturday. Service was a little slow, but in their defense, they were faily busy. We both had cheese burgers which were hot and made to order. Onion rings on the other hand were cold and soggy. The quality and taste of the burgers definitely made up for what the onion rings... More

I have been a faithful patron of Ray's Drive In for years. But I have to say. As of late, they just can't get it right!. How many ways can you say, CUT THE ONIONS ?? I know anyone can make a mistake once in awhile, but lately they just send out whatever the cook thinks you might want, apparently... More
